NamelessFragger: The Last Express was published by Interplay. I know because my neighbors gave me an Interplay-published paper sleeve copy. GOG has a deal with Interplay since its inception.
So why isn't it up for sale? Does the Broderbund publishing part have something to do with it?
Wiki said that Borderung went bankrupt and was bought by "The Learning Company", which was then bought a year later by Mattel. Somehow the CEO became batshit and the company had no other choice than to sell the rights to Ubisoft and Riverdeep.
But now all the rights of Borderbund, including Myst, seem to belong to Ubisoft now.
So Mechner and GoG probably have to negotiate with Ubisoft to get the games on GoG. Could be good news, or not. All I know is that Ubisoft would demand full price again....
