Please no.
The HORRIBLE remakes of Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee have TONS, never patched, problems, so please leave the original Metal Gear Solid as it is now.

This is exactly what my sentiments were, sadly...
We have experience working with legendary IP (Oddworld Inhabitants) and treating the subject matter with the respect it deserves.
"We've never really developed games, we got Oddworld by accident, we didn't fix the glitchy port of Munch that was handed over to us, and we did jack shit in terms of platform research when in came to porting Stranger's Wrath. Can we apply our mad skills to your poorly structured writing and constant self-repetition?"
I have never seen such discrepancy between a forum title and its content. Just Add Water do not want to Kill MGS, they want to re-release it on PC with a new engine. You may not like this development, but the title I would consider a blatant lie.

I have no problems with it getting a PC release, and I do not see how it will have any impact. If you do not like, just play the PSs version. Getting it released in a new engine do not change how the PS game is. I have no strong feeling for or against Fox engine, as long as the game is direct update, then I would very likely enjoy it.
I don't get it, you can still play the original as it is and if the remake is released at least someone might be able to play it. Of course they might be wasting money but isn't that their problem? :P

The problem isn't the PC version. I'll be the happiest people on earth to see a Metal Gear Solid remake (if it will be good, of course) with the great Fox Engine (if the video of MGS5 is really for the current gen consolle, this engine is a monster).
The problem is they can't properly do a porting of two XBox title, that are full of glitches, freezes, stuttering, black screen and a lot of things that make those titles unplayable.
If I can choose, I'd prefer not to see a remake at all, that play a ruined game.

well... you do not need to play it.... you can just ignore it.

Also, may I add, I do not want to judge any game before they are made, they might just surprise you and make a good port. I will wait with any judgments until if and when it is finished. Right now it is just rumors.

It's not even rumours, it's just a developer's hard-on.
i'd love a Twin Snakes kind of MGS remake, but I don't see how that company would be the right one to do it. they simply don't have the credentials to handle an IP this heavy.
oooh, Maybe they could hire Keifer Sutherland, too!
