Why not have newish games? All they do is add to the choice of games that we have. There's actually nothing forcing people to buy them.

Of course, the true appeal of GOG lies in the ability to buy older games that have since gone out of print and are usually not capable of working on modern PCs, and that's what I usually do here :)
