Are you going to whine about Steam in every single Steam/Valve/digital distribution related thread?
In every thread that casts a good light on it, yes.

Good question.
This content was ok... for free you can't complain. I like the idea of a shorter map for quick sessions, but that's what I used survival for, so it's a bit late.
The only thing I agree with the boycott about is new weapons... Valve mentioned new weapons would come before launch and a year later we have none, and the new game seems to be full of them, so... hopefully new weapons get ported over when L4D2 launches.
I have this weird feeling they will just combine the games, adding all features of 2 into 1 or some of them anyway, and making everyone overjoyed who ever worried or complained. They have the power to do this because of Steam, they have hinted they will... I hope it happens.

Well, give it a fucking rest already. It's gotten beyond annoying. And it doesn't help. You want to make contentless whining comments about Steam go do it on their forums.
At least others raise their concerns other Steam in relavant topics and in a descriptive manner. Not only that; but they don't do it in every fucking thread.

I'll see about resting it.
Other than that, I played the new DLC and it is pretty tough.
I think the best thing about the Crash Course DLC is the new voices. Absolutely hilarious.
Free DLC, I like that, I'd like to see more of that.
L4D does not interest me much, so I've not bothered getting it (though $15 is more stomachable). L4D2 only slightly does because of the current RC banning issue in this country.
I just never get around to playing MP games.
well i to won't buy L4D2. I bought their first one for 29€ (before i discoverd gog) and i like the game very much.
Thing is they never did what they promessed us. They would give us extra levels , weapons and support.
I haven't seen extra weps , untill this map i barely saw new things (exept the survival added + fan based maps)
So yes i'm one of the boycutters as well because we feel ripped off by an unaccomplished promise from valve. Add to that the immensly long waiting period for episode 3 (tha freeman will be to old and grey just standing around there) and i'm an unhappy customer.
I have a small hope still that they'll make amends and throw in a few extra weps and maps after L4D2. Afterall , maybe they don't want their new weapons to be shown before launch.
L4D2 is just around the corner, i think i'll wait...if valve releases another the orange box.
But it's a nice price, although i'm getting tired of these zombie-zombie-achievements-zombie games everywhere.

You're trolling these boards. You're off topic. You're being rude. Most importantly, you are degrading the GOG community.

And you, can kiss my ass.
Indeed.
You know, I loved this DLC. L4D needs more shorter campaigns that are easy to get into for a quick game.
Now to find the vocalize commands for the new dialogue...
"Francis: Riverside? I hate Canada.
Zoey: Francis, we're on Pennsylvania.
Francis: Oh my god I hate Canada so much."

Louis: "Francis. Why would you bet that we're doomed?"
That made me snicker.
And then I nearly got myself killed at Zoey's
"Metal supply company? Oh, THANK GOD! I was almost out of metal!"
Anyway, the fact that the new campaign is only two maps is a little disappointing. Granted, to me, it feels like the same quality as the regular campaigns, but it's not long enough, and it's true, that I feel we should've gotten a little more.
That being said, I've gotten so much playing time out of the game with the campaigns, with versus, with survival mode that even though it feels like they're rushing a sequel out the door too soon, I can't say I feel like I'm being taken advantage of too much. Maybe a -little- but I'm not one of those people thinking that Valve's sold out or anything like that.

PoSSeSSeDCoW: How is it pointless to buy a game for cheap when its sequel is coming out? Would you refuse to buy the original Fallout because Fallout 2 was coming out in a few weeks?
Most people don't even play a game for six weeks before abandoning it - and people will still be playing L4D even when L4D2 comes out, especially considering the fact that there are people boycotting L4D2.

That analogy is a bit stilted: Fallout is a single player RPG. L4D, while playable in single player mode with bots, is basically multi-player only. Sure there will be some people who play L4D but the majority will be playing the 'sequel' -- the boycott isn't going to be very effective. I'm not saying I appreciate the format they are publishing L4D2 in, just being realistic. Personally I probably won't be buying it until it is $30 or less.
Ideally Valve's development time for its other IP's would be as fast as L4D such that they could release HL2 Episode 3, Portal 2, and L4D2 in a 'Purple Box' or whatever for ~$50. If they did that you probably wouldn't see anyone complaining/boycotting.
