Have you ever had certain thoughts about something that seem to transcend time and go beyond reality?

I know, that sounds weird.

The funny thing is, whenever I happen to come across Da Vinci's "The Last Supper", what strikes me is not the personnel depicted but the room itself. Perhaps it was just a dream from a long time ago, but whenever I see it, it's like I have a memory of being in that very room, looking out from the middle window at the surrounding countryside. No memory of the Last Supper or Jesus or anything, but it feels like I was in that room with one or two other people. I don't know what I was doing or why I was there.

It's very odd because it's something I don't think about for years at a time, but it's just one of those things that seems lodged in my brain and every now and then if I happen to see the picture it comes rushing back in much the same way that real memories do.

Perhaps I'm just giving in to flights of fantasy, but I find it intriguing.
wow, that was weird.. or maybe you are descendant from some in that table recalling memories like assasin creed OR you are a reincarnation of Jesus, lol he is suppose to get a tour before the end of the world

Yeah, 2012, thanks for the pre-warning, albeit it came a bit late now. There's no way I am able to play even half of my gaming backlog before the end of the world! (December)
Are you sure you didn't see the picture of the painting as a child, and are now simply remembering it as if the room were real? When I was very young, I was very impressed by a painting depicting some pastoral scenery which is very common where I come from, and now I remember it whenever I go out in the country.

Or perhaps the room in Leonardo's work is similar to a room in a game you particularly liked/feared/sruggled with when you were younger.
Latent Stendhal syndrome, maybe?
