I have begun to watch "let's play" videos at youtube, and I really like it. (Feels a bit like a guilty pleassure) One thing is, you get an impression of the game because you see how it works and becuase there is someone talking about his impression of it, and it's a nice way to get to know a game you'll never play. :-) In that way, I have come to know albion, and watch the end of shadowman and some other great games.
Is there anyone else outthere who likes to watch these videos?
I keep watching Helloweens videos, he's really an amazing let's player. Also, he plays most of those horror games for the first time, so he act just as you would if played for the first time.
This should make you happy:

I've done a couple. Screenshot/Video of most of the main SMT series (except Strange Journey so far, all on LP Archive), Screenshot/Vid of Grim Fandango, video (both drunken and sober) of most of the Choaniki series, and some SMT spinoffs.

I obviously watch some of them as well. Mainly of things I have no chance of playing (like Deadly Premonition. By the way, watch SuperGreatFriend's Deadly Premonition videos.)

Hell, I'll just link it. It is VERY worth watching. Some are not on Youtube, but instead on blip.tv and other hosts due to them containing movie footage.

I went through the entire LP Archive of I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. It's such a great game; one of the very rare times an established literary author has helped to make a fantastic game.

That's a great site, since it has quite a few GOG games. It's a great little preview to see if you might want a game or not.
I wish I could play "I Have No Mouth", but it's so expensive.
How to find a suitable LP video:
1. Find someone with a British accent.

That's it.
I much prefer picture/text ones, because finding someone you want to listen to for several hours can be difficult.

I heartily recommend the Ultima IV-VI and U7+SI LPs over at the LP Archive (but only if you've already played them all, otherwise too many spoilers, obviously!).
All of these by The Spoony One, especially Phantasmagoria: Puzzle of the Flesh:

This, the best LPs come from Something Awful, because of, well, quality control. Also: retsupurae, not so much a Let's Play channel as a make fun of bad Let's Plays in a kind of MST3K type of deal.
I found this hilarious LP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wBL0UTegHU&feature=BFa&list=SP09B5319B34863032&index=2
