I'm still not sure what it really is, apart from a sidescrolling horror/shooter, but it looks sufficiently creepy (even if the graphics don't scream it). Check out the latest trailer here:

There's a demo available here, which you can run in your browser. I tried it a while ago, and it gave a pretty good idea what the game is like. Certainly an interesting game.

It's worht a lot more than that to be honest.
First I bought the game from his website when it was out.
Then I bought it again on Steam yesterday.
And today I just said fuck it and bought the collector's edition from his website :P

Try the demo, it's a side scroller!
The art is amazing, the OST is magnificent, and the gameplay is just epic.

I'd be glad to buy it again if it ever comes out on GOG :)

Thanks for the link. Seems interesting but I'm not convinced I should buy it right now based on that demo and the fact that I'll need to piss around with a VPN. So I'll wait.

Well, I'm starting to be sick of all this pixellated stuff: back in my (arcade) days pixels had some sense, now they are just becoming ugly and annoying....

They still have sense, they are cheap and easy to produce. Ideal for one-man-game.

demo was alright... not really scary... hard to get invested in a 8bit side scroller... after games like amnesia this felt like it was trying to hard... but a quality game, just not scary... its got creepy in spades thou

Bah... Eric Chai made Out of this World (1990) almost all by himself, and the game uses no pixels (except for background graphics)....
