What do I have to search for to find laptops with a screen resolution higher than 1366x768? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The few I have found all have 17" screens which is a bit big for me.

The Lenovo Y-series laptops seem to have 15.6-inch FullHD screens.
Thanks guys, both helpful suggestions. A lot of these are actually much nicer than I need in many areas, I wish it was possible to get a mid-range consumer laptop with a really high res screen. Still, these ones are so much more powerful and better built than my Acer that they'll probably last a lot longer.
The reason I want the higher resolution screen isn't for gaming or movies but actually just to get some more working space when using DAWs. The generally better specs on these will probably come in handy for that (apart from the graphics card).
MSI has 16 inches laptop with full HD screens ( 1920x1080 ) : GT60 & GE60 series . Asus as the 15 inches N56 series. Most other brands feature WXGA (1368x768) or WSXGA (1600x900) screens.

There are even a few 14 inches laptop featuring full HD screens ( Alienware 14 GTX) or WSXGA screens ( MSI GE40 )
I've been lusting over Sager laptops but they start around $800 in the US for a 15" i5 chassis. Pretty sure they're re-branded Clevo units.
Acer V5 573g with Full HD IPS panel is probably best for its price and easily upgradeable with msata SSD to have SSD and HD
This list at NotebookReview has some 14" laptops with higher resolutions than 768p.

That's right; Clevo is the manufacturer. Sager and others are resellers. Not low-end pricing, but you get a lot of computer for your money.
Filtering notebooks by custom criterias can be done on . [url=http://mysn.co.uk/]MySN is a Clevo reseller with good support and a wide range of customizable laptops.

If you want a HDD and SSD in 15'' or less, there is not much choice.
My dad just bought one of these on my recommendation:

Lovely laptop. Although could possibly do with a SSD.
According to the specs listed on that very page it's only 1366x768. Other than that it seems very nice, but I specifically want a higher resolution because 1366x768 feels pretty cramped.

Thanks, those are useful links! I'm not after HDD and SSD so that's fine. My main requirement is a higher screen resolution.

I'm going to have to double check that when I see my Dad tomorrow - I'm sure when I was researching it I made sure it was full HD...
(SirPrimalform, hope you don't mind a mild thread hijack)

Want to grab a laptop myself, my sister is traveling to the US soon and I was thinking of having her bring one back for me. Haven't picked up a new laptop since 2002 so I would appreciate some recommendations (I'd be buying it online and having it shipped to her).

I don't play many new games, though I would like for it to be able to run most of what's out today and what's coming out in the foreseeable future. Also, would really prefer Windows 7. Seems every website I check they only have laptops with Windows 8.

You get used to the smaller screen size. However, for many applications, having at least 1280x1024 is a must and a lot of websites and applications aren't coded to handle smaller sizes very well.

Personally, I'd recommend getting a business class laptop.

From a quick look at the Lenovo website, they've got a fairly good number of laptops with resolution like you want, with a fairly good selection of price points. Oddly enough while the US site allows you to select by resolution, the UK store doesn't.

Try looking for a business class laptop. Often times they don't cost any more than the basic models, but I know that Lenovo is still offering 7 on their laptops.
