I am literally lost for words about how bad my first experience with gog.com is.

Planescape is a great game that I've wanted to play for ages but couldn't and I still can't thanks to the delightful corrupted file error I get whenever I try to use the installer despite doing everything on the support page.

Now you might be thinking why am I posting here and not sending a help ticket to get more help, well that is a very good question and I would do that except I can't. I click on send and the page just hangs...and hangs...and hangs...and hangs.

And I can't even ask for my money back because this happens with all the contact us forms.

So please, anyone, either help me install this game or give me my money back.
Try to appropriate section.

Corrupted installer would usually require redownloading. As for other problems they sound browser-related.

What browser are you using? The fact that you are having a problem both with the download and with contacting support would seem to indicate some kind of fault with your browser, perhaps an IE security setting. Alternatively, your anti-virus/network security solution could be causing a problem, depending on how aggressive it is.
Make sure you're downloading the game with a download manager such as Free Download Manager during the duration of the GOG Downloader's downtime.

Down.
Normally I'd be tempted to think it was due to the downloader. But it definitely can't be that at the moment.

Given that this isn't a problem that most people are having, redownloading the game should hopefully this time get you a working version.
Re-download the game, sometimes occur a problem when you're downloading a game (this explains why you're having corrupted files error). This happened with me one time.

I've downloaded, installed, and verified the working order of 3 games after the GOG revamp. Downloads all done using the GetRight download manager.

Hello MokobA. Rest assured, the installer that GOG provides does work. If you're getting an error that says the file is corrupted it means that the installer file that you have is not the same as it was when GOG sent it to you. This could be because of an error in transmission over the Internet, because you had a minor hard disk error, or maybe just because of a random cosmic ray. Whatever the reason, delete the corrupt file and download it again and everything should be fine.

Regarding the support page: it's odd that you can't get to the support page while others can. If it's just the front page in the support section that's giving you grief, try skipping directly to the orders, payments and downloads support page to open a ticket. But try just redownloading the installer first - that will most likely fix your original problem.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but check for spyware and viruses (use a boot time scan, perferably off a USB key if you know how). Any time that kind of thing happens it's worth a check. You might have a handy browser "toolbar" that is screwing you over (toolbar is usually adware if not outright malware).

And quit browsing porn on IE or with Javascript enabled:)
