Anyone in the Asia-Oceania region watching the eclipse tonight? It's bloody raining here right now and the windows in my house are all facing at wrong angles away from the moon, so I can't get a glimpse of it at all :(

Or, watch it on Youtube:

-edit- Fudge, I'll brave the rains when the moon is about to be completely eclipsed. A bit of rain never hurts. xD

Yes go outside and take an umbrella...or whatever it is you guys use over there.
It's a beautiful clear night here, and the moon is completely shadowed right now with a dark red edge on top. It's spectacular.
Hehe, Google has an eclipse theme for their banner today. Until an hour ago, the tooltip on the banner on the Danish Google said "Solar eclipse" (in Danish, solformørkelse). It's been corrected to "Lunar eclipse" now (in Danish, måneformørkelse).
For a minutes I thought this post was about the DN3D episode. 0.o

Pun was intentional ;)

Blast, I missed the eclipse. I simply couldn't catch a glimpse of it, in spite of having tried multiple vantage points at the top level of several high-rise flats. I must have walked about 2km. By the time I gave up, the eclipse was already over.

Yeah that's how I got to know about it hehe

Could not fight the sleepiness last night, so I missed it. Well, there is always another date in December to look forward to.
:(

I thought you were gonna say Lunar 3 was recently announced.
Damn.

I thought this had something to do with Duke Nukem 3D :/
When, what, where, why, how?

Yesterday, around 21.50 GMT,

It went red,

The Moon,

Red moons are much more awesome then black and white ones,

A corona of light refracted around the earth through the earths atmosphere, effectivly splitting the light into a spectrum (rainbow) and filtering out the lower wavelength colours, leaving the higher wavelength colours like red light through to be cast on the moons visible surface.

Me likey science :D

Still don't know how I missed it. I was out riding my 50cc so I should have seen it. Unless it was my morning when it happen. :p
Living in Japan can really screw up your time of understanding. I also like science very much too there, DrWevil.

Hmm well if you didn't post it within 2 hours after the OP's time of post, that probably means you're too late :D

(I missed it because it was raining like a beast; either that, or the damn high rise buildings blocked my LOS)
