Mafiuh Mafia - The wreckoning
-Day one-

Most days were more or less the same for the lot of you....get up, a bit of breakfest & some meds, some well deserved time in the Day Room, then lunch & more meds......followed by group session & the individual session, some more time in the Day Room, and then dinner followed by light's out. This was the usual fare, plus a few other things mixed in or interchanged, at Miskatonic Healing Center. Yes, new patients were sometimes brought in and older ones "rehabilitated", and the dramas & relationships between patients were sometimes fun to behold and even participate in....but otherwise it was bloody boring.

You and your fellow "bunkmates" were just finishing group one day in a particularly "civil" mood, which was odd unto itself(someone always left with a grudge or chip on their shoulder usually......and sometimes people even had to be drugged and sent to bed early due to patient arguments during these sessions.).......when an alarm rang out in a shrill tone, the warning light flashing over the Dar Room entrance doors in a sickly orange glow.
Rushing out to see what was the matter, the attending doctor soon came back lookingly visibly shaken.....his fists clenched around the hilt of a sharp looking fire axe. Despite your attempts to get more information about the current situation proved fruitless, however, as he rushed over to the adjacent Belongings Room door, unlocking it before adding "The shit's hit the fan now, boys and girls. I don't know how or why but it has......as such I am granting all of you a full recovery. Now grab your things and get ready to move when I get back. Until then don't leave this room, whatever you do!". With this, the doctor left the room, locking it behind him.....leaving 6 confused and scared patients wondering what the hell was going on at Miskatonic Healing Center.

You are all in the Day Room on the second floor of the Miskatonic Healing Center. Open rooms are the starting location(Day Room), the belongings room(You have all been there at least once as you all have your belongings with you now, but feel free to search that room again as per the rules or write a little blurb describing your own visit into the room to describe you collecting your belongings if you wish.), and the fenced in balcony/patio(cannot see beyond this area due to foliage surrounding mesh fencing on all sides.).

More areas will become available on Day Two. For now you can search any of the open rooms for either clues or items(one or the other can be picked but not both, for each of the available rooms, per day, by bolding the words Search for "x"[where x is clues or items].....OP will then tell you what you found.), examine the rooms in general for story purposes, talk between yourselves in character(or out of character even, but this must be done by stating such beforehand with the letters OOC), and a few other things.......if in doubt ask in OOC in the thread to see if you can perform an action.
You can also accuse someone of being "shifty"(a risk to the group, dangerous individual, part of whatever is going on, etc.....for whatever reason.) Know that once you do so you cannot change your "vote" for that day. Once a majority vote has been established for a particular "day" a dice roll will be made by me to see if that user is killed off or disabled(effectively finished with play) in some way and how. If the user is safe then they can continue play the next day(Albeit with possible resentment towards those voting for them), if not then they will be disabled or killed off depending on the number rolled in the second dice roll to determine the method used.
If the player is killed off or disabled the rest of the players will be given the "dead" player's collected items up until that point via a system I will set up when the time comes. Regardless if he survives or dies, an important clue will be learned which could possibly help during the following days(or not....we'll see:)).

Map is posted in the link below this text. Rules are here

And here

Game is now open to the players currently active. Initial posts are asked to be submitted within the next 12-15 hours if not sooner, and again roleplaying is encouraged(feel free to use colorful verbiage and show off your creative sides, as long as it fits into the rest of the game rules.)

Also all non-players please post your thought about the ongoing game in this thread here: Mafiuh Mafia discussion thread

Addition: Picture showing current set of rooms and what has been revealed after examinations of a room or part of a room.....also any future clues found in these rooms during a player's daily search of any room will be shown on this picture as well as it is updated.

Energetically I rush to grab my personal belongings: all waiting in a large leather bag, wooden handled, with the initials "TC" marked in gilt upon the grey. I put my big blue cap on my head so that everyone can see I'm an engine driver, and pick up my luggage with one hand: Travel light, and always be prepared to leave in a hurry because you can never be sure of the train timetables, generally reliable yes, but if passengers were more prepared it would cause a lot less bother in the long run. Pausing momentarily to stare portentiously at my bunkmates, I hasten to stand by the locked door, luggage in hand.
Resigned to wait as long as it takes (or until something sufficiently disturbing happens to distract me) by the door, I casually examine the eastern wall of the dayroom. (OOC - assuming the map is drawn with north toward the top of the page)
(Joe's examine results - the most obvious feature is the main entrance doors one would usually use to leave the Day Room. They appear to be solidly locked via a very olden-tymey looking locking device. Old, but complex....and definitely not weak in build. This lock will need a key or some sort of miracle to open.....also listening at the door you hear near silence, but the door is very strong/thick so WW3 could be happening beyond your current locale for all you know and you wouldn't know.)

Also OOC - You can also search the room you're in or one of the other rooms for either clues or items, but only one can be picked per room per day.(I.e. if you search the Belongings room for items on Day One you cannot search it for anything else on that day, but could search another of the rooms for something.)

Feeling confused of the situation, I start reordering the chairs in line and facing to the north.
"Lovely, the energy in this room, everything is just perfekt for the bride.".

After the work is done, I grab my belongings and start to examine the wall and door to the north (to the belongings room).

"Lovely, the energy in this room, everything is just perfekt for the bride.".

After the work is done, I grab my belongings and start to examine the wall and door to the north (to the belongings room).
(Examine by Ubivis: You note that the door is unlocked, [It reminds one of the old style grade school doors with the heavy opaque glass paneling covered in wire mesh covering most of the upper portion of the door itself.] remembering this from going through it mere moments before to get your stuff. To the right of the door there is a bookshelf full of old magazines and books to read & a few assorted board games, while to the left you see a few card-gaming tables.)

Remember as I said to the last player examining areas or sections of areas will be limitless per day but will lead to just generic descriptions/info. If you want to search for possibly game vital clues or usable items you can collect you must bold the request like so Ubivis searches room "x"(Example Day Room) for "x"(x being either items or clues.). Again it's one search request(either clues or items) per room per day per player. Just a head's up that you have these options open to you.

Also if you haven't make sure to read the rules in the signup thread(both posts listed and linked above) for voting rules and other rules. :) Also I hope you enjoy the game.

After checking the door and the bookshelf Ubivis searches room "Day Room" for "Clues"

Ubivis: After checking the door and the bookshelf Ubivis searches room "Day Room" for "Clues"
You notice, as you pace a bit around the room, crude scratches going behind the bookcase. Searching behind the bookcase you find a few small greenish scales next to the scratches, which lead into a small hole[which looks like it had been chewed or gnawed into existence by some small animal...possibly the same one that left the scales behind.]....you show them to everyone who has gathered around the now moved aside bookcase.

"How odd, where could this have come from?" you mumble as you pocket the scales using a plastic baggie from the belongings room.(Clues are public items so if another person wants to they can examine them as well....although this will not always yield any new info.) You also examine the hole but find nothing much else in the way of a clue as to what did it.

Some of the others wonder/posit if they could be related to what is going on here currently. "That hole & them scratches wasn't there yesterday. I should know as I sort the bookshelves regularly for the doc." another says, as you stand back up.

OOC: Your search for the Day room for today is over....you can however search the others rooms at any point during the current "day"(Which could take several IRL days, so choose wisely when to use such btw.) for either clues or items(depending on what your strategy is for playing.), make small talk with the other players in character or OOC as you play, make generic "chat" about the current situation/etc with a random unnamed player as a form of roleplay(My sentence above about sorting the shelves is an example of generic chat).

While I am grabbing my meagre belongings, I search the belongings room for items.
Hey, who'se going to try & tell me that they aen't mine, anyway.....
Rodzaju searches the Belongings Room for items.

As you look around the room you notice a Johnny Quest collectible pocket knife someone binned in the room's rubbish bin. You pocket it while no one is looking.

[Personal OP asides: So far Rod has used search for Belongings room, and Ubivis has used search for Day room....also Rod has added pocket knife to their items.]

I quickly grab my stuff from the belongings room and while everyone seem to be busy being detectives, I run over to the Patio looking for a possible escape. (Search for clues.)

Profanity: I quickly grab my stuff from the belongings room and while everyone seem to be busy being detectives, I run over to the Patio looking for a possible escape. (Search for clues.)
OOC: But there IS NO ESCAPE.....Mwahahaha! :) But seriously read on fellow player.

While the others mill about....seemingly with their own obscure purposes in mind....you decide to make a break for it(as it were) before remembering the BITCHIN' HUGE, sturdy wrought iron fencing and dense foliage surrounding the patio area. This space, while tranquil at most hours and outside by definition, is anything but insecure and open to the surrounding area beyond the open sky above and beyond you and the surrounding fencing.

Looking around for a method to the "madness", as it were, you hear what sounds like some sort of messed up squeaking coming from one of the nearby stone benches. It doesn't take you long to fin out what caused it. A nearly dead rat sits near several very dead birds, which litter one corner of the patio in some sort of macabre and grisly tableau.

Some seem to be HALF EATEN, and the blood that is present is ddripped around the remains. Feeling ill you contemplate whether to leave or continue on your current course of action. Nevertheless you do call out to the other to inform them of what you've discovered...and a few of the others do pop a head out the door to see what the fuss is about before returning to the Day Room for whatever reason, while others stick around and observe the carnage as they look for answers.

(You have used up your one search today for the patio, and still have your searches for the other two open rooms remaining, as well as your vote of suspicion[read the rules links above].......do try to use them carefully though as they're hard to come by, or not. Your call. :)

(Once you cast your vote for the day it is unrevokable however, as stated in the rules....so be careful with that one.)

(Also you can examine a room or section of a room for a description at any time without penalty or limit(Although obviously examining anything more than once will usually yield the same description.), talk to the other players in and out of character as you play, etc.)

"Why's everybody going on about snakes?" I growl at the nearest person, who happens to be Mr Staines, without looking round. "Are we going to spend the rest of the day talking about them limbless little wankers?"

"Who said anything about snakes?
I reckon it's flying fish...."
After the mad dash to collect my belongings I find it hard to calm down in the day room (what with everyone being so worked up). I decide to go out onto the patio for some fresh air. While there I search the patio for items.

OOC: Is there any formal method for examining another player's items?
