Inspired by the anti-syndicate thread, and the fuzzy warm feeling I got yesterday when I helped a poor autistic girl feel good about herself for the first time in many months (or so she told me), I bring you this giveaway.

Now I sadly don't have a lot of money, so I can't give away any game you want, but I do have a few spare steam keys. The winner will get one of the following games (of his or her choice, the other games will be used for future giveaways):
Nuclear dawn
Greed corp
Serious Sam Double D
King Arthur the roleplaying wargame

Now the kicker is that you need to brighten up someone else's day in person. It is not enough to do a good deed by donation to a charity, you need to actually be able to see the smile on the other persons face.
So go out and help an old lady cross the road, help out in a soup kitchen, give that poor shy person who people don't seem to notice the attention he or she deserves (and craves) or find some other creative way of making someone else's day better.

Post it here in this thread and tell us what you did, and on Thursday I will use random.org to find a winner (though hopefully all of us will feel like winners in the end).

*edit* Clarification: Only good deeds committed after this post was made counts.

I helped a friend of mine with an issue with his computer and at the end he is one 80GB HDD bonus from me so he is happy and I'm happy too.

(If it counts in for King Arthur)
I took my mom to a bierhaus for her birthday today. And my younger brothers, because they're freeloaders. My sisters missed it because one's in Africa someplace getting "extra-curricular experience" for college, and the other is in DC with her fiancee while he does legal grunt work for one of the senators. Dad got the plank steak.

Flip a coin for Greed Corp or Nuclear Dawn. I have the other two.

I had a conversation with a friend of mine today and at the end of the conversation he had a smile on his face. I won't get into details because I respect his privacy.

I would like to enter for Greed Corp, please.
I made cookies for my wife. I don't bake but they actually turned out ok. I'm not sure if it was the cookies or just the thought of me trying to bake that put a huge smile on her face. I'll try for Nuclear Dawn. Thank you
I went to 7-11 to pick up some chips. The clerk told me that she was really bummed about Whitney Houston, so I gave her a hug. She's still sad, but she did offer a smile after the exchange.

I helped my wife with her schoolwork, taught two kids at a ren fair to hold a sword, and volunteered at the local old folks home.

King Arthur
I helped my homestay washing dishes today, not sure if that counts

And If it does count, I'll go for Serious Sam Double D
My aunt's boyfriend had his grandchildren over today along with his son and daughter-in-law (Who's birthday it was). I helped out all day, entertaining the children, in a few cases the adults as the kids had fun hanging from my arms and being flipped upside down. At the same time I helped my aunt cook for the party, mixing salads, preparing a tomato sauce, peeling eggs, and a few times getting the kids involved to help, and making sure they stayed clean and comfortable (Plus I filled up the wood furnace. Yes, I complained about it in the other thread. But they weren't going to do it, they had kids and food to work on). Everyone had a good time and had fun, and I managed to make things easier for everyone else.

Serious Sam Double D please and thank you, hopefully I can win.

Drove my wife to a dance class this evening and waited out in the car in the cold for two hours.
Then we came home and I cooked dinner. (But I always cook, so that's nothing new.)

If you consider this entry, I'd like to be in for Greed Corp, please. Thanks for the giveaway!
It is nice to read all of your stories. It fills me with hope for mankind as a whole.

And did I possibly set the end date a bit too far ahead in time? Oh well, it gives other people more time to be nice ;)

(And yes, everything that helps brighten up someone else's day counts)
I abandoned my wife for a week.
Does that count?!!?
If so I would go for serious sam.

OK, my mother had to go into hospital for surgery.
I arranged for my mother in law to fly over to help my wife so that I could look after my disabled sister (normally my mum's job) & take care of my mum when she gets out.
One day left. I'll draw a winner tomorrow evening (GMT).
Last evening and old lady walking down the street asked me for some money cause she didn't have enough for a bread. Now, beggars, I don't really give to, cause I've seen some stuff... but old people it's another matter. It just breaks my heart to see them like this, cause I know how small their pension is here. So I gave her a little extra. She was happy.

Greed Corp sounds like something I might get into.
The past few days we've had really bad snow, and we still had class. At my University, there are guys who stand outside selling memorabilia like shirts and shot glasses and what have you, raising money for their fraternity. And they stayed out there all day with the snow coming up to everyone's ankles. I felt pretty bad for them, so I bought them some coffee to keep warm. It kinda surprised them all, they were probably hoping I would buy something from the stand instead, but I don't have THAT much money.
