So...
I was searching about Portal 2: The Final Hours the other day, and that reminded me of the Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar, which sadly is selling for $100+.

I'm wondering what other books there are that may be significative to people here, also titles comprised of art like the recent Witcher 2 Art Book.

Which ones do you recommend and were really worth it? Which ones came in a collector's edition that were so good, that you still have memories about them?
I have a Darkwatch art book. Best western/gothic shooter ever...
I have
Raising the Bar
Mortal Kombat art book (from CE)
Dead Space art book (from pre-order, rather leftovers from pre-orders since I did not pre-order)
Witcher 2 digital art book
Age of Empires 3 art book
Witcher 1 artbook is really well done.
A lot of games have artbooks. They advertise a lot on 3D and concept art sites, and they're usually $40+.
I have the Uncharted 2 Art Book - really informative and well put together. Just don't buy from the publisher directly. It's much cheaper from amazon or someplace else.

Hey guys, I'm talking both Making Of OR Art.

Actually I'm way more interested in Making Ofs, like Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar (even if it wasn't that technical...)

I have yet to read something about The Witcher 1 and 2. :(

Never heard of that game, but I will look into, thanks.

MK 2011? That should be interesting, didn't know about it.

Yes, that's exactly what I am NOT talking about, I don't want those portfolio-like books, but more focused on the whole game or even only the technical, behind the scenes aspects of the game.

Uncharted has some serious art indeed, and they translated it really well to in-game form.

Tomb Raider 2012 will make for a good art book I guess, in the same genre.

Thanks for the link.

I have this book. I won it a long time ago from a gaming magazine (for writing the letter of the month, as far as I recall), but as I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy, and have a general dislike for Japanese comics/cartoons/graphics, I've never read it.

Leafing through it just now (because of this thread) I will say that for connoseurs it's probably excellent. There are loads of renders of characters and lots of concept art.
Oh, I forgot to mention the Monster Hunter Illustrations book. There are hundreds of fantastic armour designs, weapons, creatures and more. Highly recommended.

I'm looking forward to the Deus Ex HR artbook...
I got the Making of Doom 3 book. There were interesting parts of it, but I wish it had gone into more detail. I do enjoy reading about these sorts of things.
Have a few artbooks sitting around the house. I think my favorite's the one that came with the collectors edition of Guild Wars. All GW artbooks are pretty good, but the Prophecies one is just the best, mostly because of all the little commentaries, which were sadly absent from the Factions and Nightfall artbooks. They're back in the GW2 artbook though =D.
