Delixe: Well yes to me. I enjoyed Overlord. Personally I thought it was a really great DLC and I thought Lair was fantastic. I had Arrival installed since release but everyone is telling me to play it after the Suicide Mission so i'm avoiding it till I finish this current playthrough. If you want bad DLC then look at some of the guff they palmed of with Dragon Age. At least there isn't a gift pack for ME2.
For me Overlord was bad because it was the polar opposite of Lair: - Plot: "discover the identity of the shadowbroker and rescue Liara's friend" >>>> "yet another experiment that tries to defeat the Geth gone wrong (Tali's loyalty mission?)"
- Setting: "a hidden base that is hidden inside the eye of a lightning storm" >>>>>>> "generic human research station overrun by Geth (How many of these have I seen?)"
- Character dialogs: every bit of Liara's and Shepard's script was awesome. In Overlord we don't even get special dialog if we bring Legion along, the squad mates might as well not be there.
- Boss fight: the fight against the shadowbroker was awesome. In overlord you get to shoot lights before they reach the core (yawn).
Even the basic premise of Overlord seemed too unbelievable even by sci-fi standards. Legion stated that the Geth communicate at the speed of light so how is the autistic guy able to "talk" to the geth, even if he had some kind of brilliant mind due to his condition it wouldn't be possible for any human to talk with the Geth in their own "language".
Well, I just hope Arrival takes more from Lair than Overlord but since it costs less than Lair it didn't take as much effort to produce it.
