caffinemasta: yes! I'd love to see a Mechwarrior 2 Complete edition on gog!! Mechwarrior 3 really strokes my fancy! and heavygear2 was great 10 years ago. And lets not forget about TRIBES 2!!

cogadh: Tribes 2 is already (legally) available for free too:

http://www.bigdownload.com/games/tribes-2/pc/tribes-2-full-free-game/
But wasn't Tribes 1+2 released on fileplanet? and it required keys too? and they were all out of keys at fileplanet? I think it was the same with their groundcontrol 1+2 promo...a bit sad.

Runehamster: Let's not forget Battlezone, even if they were floating...tank thingies. I still count it as a mech game, dunno why.

Oh waaaait, the Sasquatch. Heh HEH heh.
OMG! Battlezone! I forgot all about it! PUT IT ON GOG! :D
p.s. rune hamster is one bad ass name :)

Yes!

This is what is needed...all of the Mechwarrior series and all of the Mechcommander series. To this day you cant find a more enjoyable mech simulator and when you want to really play a good mech RTS\campaign strategy game; there is no other!

I beg the other members of the forums who have a passion for this game to please keep this thread related the Mechcommander\warrior series so we can show the folks at gog.com that we mean business!

This was one of the best games of the genre that I have ever played but my Windows 7 64bit OS hates them and I can only manage to play Wechwarrior 3.

Can someone @GoG please respond to this thread and let us know if there's any possible plans to work on this project?

The more folks who keep bumping this thread in agreement.....the better off our chances IMO.
There were also Gnome, Slave Zero, and Ultrabots that I can think of.
I always hated these games, but nothing beats seeing a bunch of fellow nerds get excited about vidyagaymes! Hope that GOG gets some more of this stuff soon!

IronSights: /snip
I see by your join date and post number that you should be welcomed to the GOG forums if you have not already been done so.

So ... Welcome! :)

I remember long ago that for someone's birthday that I went to one of those VR centers where you could actually get into a pod and have a full cockpit/control layout in front of you. I can't remember what they were called. I believe we played 3 free-for-all matches of Mechwarrior. It was a great deal of fun, though I never played any of the computer games (nor did I go back to one of those centers).

Anyway ... sorry, for the reminiscing, but I do wish you the best of luck in seeing those games on GOG. I would point you to GOG's "official" wishlist, but frankly it is rather defunct at this point so there wouldn't be much point. GOG has promised us a new wishlist, but sadly it has not yet surfaced. Unfortunately if Microsoft owns the IP now, we will have to wait until GOG pens a deal with them as sadly Microsoft is not one of the publishers who releases their old catalog through GOG as of yet. So you are best to also ask Microsoft as well as GOG. :)

How? That is the only Mechwarrior that I can't get to run properly on my computer.

MechWarrior 2 runs just fine in Dosbox (I have not tried 1), 4 can be patched to work well, with MW4 mercenaries having an active fan community that has made it compatible with most modern computers (just download the MTX client and download MW4 Mercs from there). MechCommander 1 won't work unless you force no V-synch in your graphics card menu, and MechCommander 2 gave me no problems.
does the joystick\flight stick work in Dosbox for you?
I'm old school about this game and feel that's the best way to play it, even modern games expect you to use a mouse and keyboard these days and its kind of sad, really
