I didn't ever post about this in the Kickstarter thread since the KS campaign was doomed to fail, but the devs decided to cancel the campaign and focus on building up a fanbase before relaunching a new campaign.
Middle of Nowhere is a first-person survival horror game heavily inspired by the Silent Hill games. It's being developed by two guys, but what they have so far looks incredible. Not only that, but the composer (who also seems to be leading the project) seems to be nailing the atmosphere based on his sample tracks. It sounds like Akira Yamaoka's music from Silent Hill 2 with a slightly more ethereal add-in which reminds me somewhat of the music from the Saya no Uta visual novel.
I'm really looking forward to what these guys can accomplish, and I just wanted to spread the word as their project seems to be as obscure as they come.
