I do not think kaka123 is debating better, but only if people play Runescape.
I played for like 2-3 days and it just did not catch my attention, I play Ryzom for several months (even though I paid for a year), but quit due to the clan drama.
A game like Ryzom that is so nice, but has so few players should not have the drama it just cannot afford it.
I have thought about going back and starting again but I had leveled up in so many areas that it is a bit discouraging to think about starting over. Cap when I left is 250 and though I was only there in one area I was well over a hundred in several others, since their is no class limitation in Ryzom.

i might add to about runescape that membership is like 5 bucks a month being a member is way better you can make money very quickly and have better items and new places to explore

Yes it has a fee, but much less than others. I paid for 1 year and it came out to a little over $8.00 a month. That is a lot more entertainment value then going to the movies one time.
While I did not like the drama of the clan I was in between other clans, the people that play Ryzom are very helpful and the vast majority are willing to help new players in many ways (take them on treks, provide better weapons and armor, and help them get teleport gate tickets, etc.), and many are willing to take the new guy along even though you are unable to do much.
Here is the Ryzom site; it has a 21 day free trial. You can learn a lot in 21 days.
However, you start the game on a training style island to learn the ropes. and when you have finished there (you can leave sooner) you head to the Mainland where the real fun begins.
this makes me want to try the free trial again! :o)

I play Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.
However Alganon is a nice MMO thats f2p and plays quite similar to WoW.
Sometimes I do hope onto RuneScape as 'Sur Warlock'.

I been playing this one for a little while and i have to admit i am very impressed with it, considering that it's free and all. Only bad thing about it is that it crashes every now and then, but i think it's because I'm using Wine to run it, and i'm pretty close to the minimum system requirements.
I can spend hours just exploring and finding interesting new crap to poke with my shiny stick.

I'm Magnus on their forum as well. Adrois/Asharr - Darlim.
I mostly play Everquest 2, though I'm weary of the current dev team's bungling.
I'm not playing any MMOs at the moment. I mainly use them as a time sink when I don't have any single-player games I want to play.
EDIT:
I'm looking at that Alganon game, and I'm struck by the screenshots. Normally I'm not one to attack over similarities to WoW* - I did play Runes of Magic for a bit, which is quite similar - but the UI looks virtually identical, so much so that it could almost have been copied and pasted. It even has the little keyring button in the corner**. That kind of bothers me, and were I to play the game, it would likely continue to bother me. It doesn't give a good first impression, either.
Besides, WoW had a pretty crappy interface. You couldn't pay me enough to copy it into a new game.
EDIT 2:
Actually, glancing over some of the newer screenshots, it looks like the interface has been overhauled, and is not such an obvious WoW-rip anymore.
* Well, I'd prefer if there were a bit more variety in the post-WoW market, but clones happen. I just don't really like the game that they're cloning.
** Which is interesting, because the keyring in WoW was actually just a hack to smooth over an irritating design flaw - I'm curious whether keys work the same way in Alganon.
