stayfly: my friends and I want to play online multiplayer against each other.

we have no idea how to do this.

can someone please give us a brief (or detailed) explanation of how we would play Duke Nukem or Rise of The Triad or any other GOG multiplayer game along among ourselves (without randoms playing with us)?

iippo: If youre talking about the new Rise of Triad, doesnt that one have proper uptodate multiplayer lobby with servers and everything?

For the older games id probably use Hamachi, but unfortunately i do not really have the time for that kind of thing any more :(
Nah, I mean the old version of Rise of the Triad.

Can you please explain briefly how Hamachi works? Is it easier / better than Tunngle?
And here I thought this was going to be a "single player master race" thread. And I was going to answer "any one of them" and be so cool.

Now my dreams are ruined. RUINED!
I miss those days of coax networking. Not the slowness of it, but the feeling of superiority for using a vampire tap on coax. Now a days any one can hook up a network, back then we were Gods among the average PC user. Geeky Gods, but Gods none the less.

Don't worry, I still avoid MP like the plague.

Or multiplayers avoid you ? :p
quick question, if my friends and I all bought this game:

http://www.gog.com/game/screamer

could we easily play it together using Hamachi or Tunngle or something similar?

if you have not already, you should check that games sub-forum here on GOG. might be someone had written about multiplayer there already?

Concerning hamachi - the last time i used it was like 8 years ago so my memory isnt exactly uptodate... also there might be better programs around these days.

Anyways, you might want to check youtube for Hamachi videoguides i bet there are plenty over there. Just search "hamachi -your operating system-".

Sorry for my bad english, I'll try anyway

First at all, be warning, once u installed hamachi a new networks will appear in ur networks options. And this software will appear at the startup (you can remove itfrom register or msconfig)

1 - Your friend and you must download Hamachi and make an account.

2 - Both of u must open the LogMeIn Hamachi

3 - One of u must make a new networks. Simply, Menu Network and make a new network (in my spanish hamachi say red crear nueva red) Assign a password if u like and that's all

4- The other one must enter to the network by clicking at the menu network ->join to a network (or something similar)

5 - Now with both of u in the same network you're in a virtual LAN with one virtual IP for each of you. Creat the multiplayer game in the game that want to play, select LAN and wait for your friend. He must put Join LAN game and write your NEW hamachi IP

6 - Have fun

Again, sorry for my bad english
^^^^^

Thanks I will try it out ASAP
has anyone suggested Hamachi? i used it a few years back and it worked great.
