Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike gets my vote.
Killing Floor if you're in the mood for a co-op survival-horror.

I'd really like to play the campaign before I leave in a week, but the $60 price for 5 hours of story is sooooo stupid. Even $40 for that is pretty off-putting.

I think that Counter-Strike has better story than CoD games.

CoD4: Modern Warfare had great singleplayer. Yes it was short and yes it was linear as shit, but it was fun and very immersive. Also had some really good characters, and obviously great production values.

Each one since has been progressively worse but I still enjoy them. Not $60 worth, but they're fun. It's like pop music.

After all these years TF2 is still the most fun fps multiplayer game out there, Counterstrike isn't so bad either but it gets boring quickly at least for me.

I haven't played killing floor or Monday night combat yet though.

nay. call of duty is just the most popular, not the most fun. hell i had way more fun playing bioshock 2 multiplayer over call of duty. battlefield is just boring. id say that if your looking for a still populated FPS game, you should consider unreal tournament. it's a lot of fun with a great community and is not populated by 10 year olds and trash talkers.

I've played CoD4 singleplayer. I don't remember there being a story though. Just some bloke you 'disarmed', then years later decided you still didn't like very much so had to finish the job. Also something about missiles.
I think they're on a level pegging, story wise. That level being zero.

Someday, i'll get this game. When they decide to drop the price to $10 - $15.

Alright well thanks for the suggestions, I do still own counterstrike and TF2 (Paid version) so i guess if i am in the mood for Multiplayer FPS i can always give them a try. I have heard bad things about MW3, the reason i was curious is because it was so cheap on amazon and in GAME.
