CaptainGyro: I have a dilemma very similar to this. I just received a $50 bill as a gift. Problem is I can 't stand the thought of being acquainted with anything that endorses Ulysses S Grant or his likeness. I just plain don't like the dude.
Any thoughts?

Obviously you should enchant the bill with a voodoo curse so that Ulysses S Grant's health is tied directly to your $50 bill. Once you've done this you place it in a safe and wait. If such a time ever occurs that he rises from the dead as a zombie, you can simply burn the bill and kill him without putting yourself at risk... at least that's what I would do. :)

I still do... out of habit, really.
I know there's a Gamer version (!) which to me, is full of more bullshit than anjohl. It's really pandering to the consoles, with most of the things about Halo or Mario or Halo or Mario of Final Fantasy.

Andy_Panthro: Well I have to say, if anyones thinking of getting Batman, I'd recommend it. Not sure if it's quite as good as the reviews say, but I haven't got very far yet.
One of my first forays into stereoscopic 3D, and it works really well. (mind you Batman does look very good as normal, so I'm sure that does help!)
I did get a bit of a headache after an hour of playing though, which is a bit of a shame. Not sure if I'll get used to it. I was wondering about those new 3D films though, if I get a headache after 1hr, then a normal film (at least 90mins), wouldn't be very good. Thankfully you can switch the 3D vision on and off very easily.

Shame you get headaches. I recommend Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Need for Speed: Shift if you want some more cool 3D experiences, but if it hurts your head too much you shouldn't bother.

I'm gonna try it with some strategy games (King's Bounty or Total War perhaps) to see how they look. Perhaps games with less camera movement will be easier on my head.
[edit] I should add, I'm already 38% through Batman, it's oddly addictive for a game with relatively little skill requirements (theres a lot more story than game). Not quite sure I'd give it the 92/100 that metacritic has calculated though. High eighties for me.

Trust me, its fucking awesome. Its the best 3rd person game I've played in years and is without question in my mind the best licenced game since TIE Fighter.
The fighting is the smoothest I've ever seen in a game, the characters are brilliantly realised, the normally pointless 'collect all the widgets' quest actually unlocks background on the characters and getting 100% gives a fun little bonus, the game manages to balance stealth and fighting and not fuck up either and it has the ever hot Harley Quinn, what MORE could a person want?

Of course I got to see Harley Quinn in stereoscopic 3D... jealous? :P
The game generally is (for me) far more about the story elements than anything else. The audio tapes and scarecrow parts are particular highlights.
And although the post-mortem joker taunt is repetitive, I was pleasantly surprised by the specific ones for HQ and Scarecrow, although I'm admitting my rather low skill at such games by mentioning I've died more than a couple of times! (there are a couple of timed sections, in my defence, which I found a touch tricky at first until I figured out what I was supposed to be doing).

I've done two scarecrow sequences so far... the second being the better one (only just, they're both good). I'm assuming theres a third? (rule of three FTW)

I've just finished it (about 20mins ago), and I would recommend it. Bear in mind I got it for free though...
Despite it being a console port, it worked very well with mouse+keyboard.

Natural evolution in losing more and more privacy, more and more freedom.
There are constantly 'free' games, 'free' contests or what you want, only made to file people or just make you buy another product.
I don't want to seem (and to be) paranoid, but you know, world of tomorrow is building itself on what we accept and tolerate now.
