Sometime this week it seems that the My Account/My Games page (https://secure.gog.com/en/account/games) changed so it's no longer filled with silly AJAX crap that only loads your entire library as you scroll down the page.

THANK YOU GOG.COM!

I can now (again) easily load the page and "find in page" for what I need without having to scroll down, wait for load, scroll down more, wait for load...
Oh good riddance, I'd like to know who thought that was a good idea

Hey now, go easy. Web 2.0 is very sensitive to criticisms.
It's still doing the same ajax thing as before, but it now appears to be triggered by page-load instead of by scrolling to the bottom. A nice improvement.

I'd guess they just increased the number of shelves to load initially.

Nope, it loads as before, though automatically. Found that out while downloading Cryostasis, which did eat almost all my bandwidth, so I could see the scrollbar moving. Won't complain though, I also prefer it this way.
Come on, this is the internet. There must be somebody who doesn't like the new system ....
Thank GOG for that! Now I don't have to use that comparatively unimpressive list thing.
Thank goodness. This is much better.

Dammit, GOG! Don't you know what it meant to me to only be able to scroll down a third of the way then find that your servers have no intention of coughing up the other two thirds 9 times out of ten?

I preferred the old days where I didn't even know how many games I had.

Yeah, that's what I meant, they just increased the number of shelves to load the first time. None are loaded with the page, just that as soon as you load he page, the script realises "hey, the page is scrolled to the bottom, better load some shelves", this "some" was set to quite low before (4? 5?) in order to decrease the initial loading time, while now it's a bit higher (50? 100?).

I haven't bothered mucking around GOGs javascripts to check exactly, but this is what I imagine.

First DRM removal, now a relatively content community, GOG is seriously trying to divide the internet by zero.
