If Child's Play is the guys bringing video games to hospitals then nothing wrong with supporting them.

The things in Africa can't be solved with donations anyway, only with governmental changes.
Wish them luck with the bundle.

On saying that dosent appeal to me so will give it a miss.
I would rather donate my money to some charity that save people's lifes rather than to charity that save kids from boredom. Hundreds of thousands of people dies every year because they cannot afford medical treatment and there are plenty of charities that tries to help them.

After reading about some of the games in detail, I kind of want to buy this bundle. Falling Skyward and The Rail especially caught my eye.
Judging from my experience with AGS games and by the limited time the authors had on their hands for working on their entries, I'd assume that these games will be a pretty short distraction (as in under an hour each or maybe 1-2 hours at max). That's not a bad thing in my book, just saying it to spare some of you the disappontment, in case you expect more. Personally I believe it will still be worth it to spend a few dollars on the bundle if you like classic adventure games and puzzles. And if you're new to the world of AGS and like what you see, there are dozens, even hundreds of similar games available for free. :)

You realize these kids have cancer (and other, equally terrible things) and many of them are dying, right? A lot of them aren't just bored, they're in pain as well.

It's fine if you prefer a different charity but I think you're kind of selling short what this one does.

Yes. I'm selling it short. But do you realize that somewhere else are kids that have cancer and no chance for treatment because they are poor? So it's still boredom vs life for me.

I realize that, I've seen shit I wish I could unsee:(
It's an interesting initiative, let people create some games using a relatively simple game creator and give the proceeds to charity.
I kind of dislike the current Child's Play as well because it's so US-centric, but I really like the concept though. Hospitals are very intimidating and boring places, so giving toys to kids in hospitals is a great idea. They should however spend some time in contacting hospitals in other (potentially poorer) countries.
Just so you guys know, the bundle is still up for sale. I just bought it. Gonna try Zombie Attack first. Will post some thoughts as soon as I can devote some time to it.
