The course of the future is in your hands. You are JC Denton, the last hope of humanity as it spirals into chaos.

Experience the opportunity to be a futuristic freedom fighter in Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, here on GOG.com, for just $9.99!

Deus Ex is without a doubt one of the best, most influential games in history. PC Gamer and PC Zone both have named it the best PC game of all time. It has received countless numbers of “Best”, “Greatest” and “Top” game awards. The story of JC Denton is a perfect fusion of RPG, FPS, and adventure. The world of Deus Ex is immense, the storyline is ambitious and layered, and the freedom of choice guarantees high replayability.

Ancient conspiracies, secret agendas, political intrigues, twisted plots, nanotech-augmentations, difficult moral choices, twenty-four weapons, intense action, deep character customization - it’s all here and it truly combines into a cohesive whole. The depth of the in-game experience and interaction will engage you on a level unparalleled by any other game.

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition is as close as you can get to the real year 2052 without growing really, really old for $9.99.

Druidshinobi: Shame it's actually cheaper on Steam (i thought gog were suppose to be price competitive?) Why Would square enix not set a fair price? Greed maybe? IDK.
DE costs 10 euro on Steam over here

Popinjay: BEST. GAME. EVER.

Die Flatlander Woman...

boct1584: The line is actually, "Take your best shot, flatlander woman."

EDIT: Despite getting it on Steam during the Summer 2011 sale for $2.50, I'll still buy it here once I have money, both to support GOG's business model and because I really want the soundtrack.
"How did you know...?"
This is awesome :) I have gotten *this close* to purchasing a hard coy of it so many times, but then not followed through because I was worried about potential compatibility issues. This version, however, is even better because the soundtrack is more than worth the cost. You completely made my day, GOG.

Glad to see this on here but I already own it twice (retail and steam). I hope Thief is next and fully working because I didn't have any luck when I tried a few months ago.

Hmm so i guess this release is good for Euros? It's £5.99 here which is cheaper than gog plus every big holiday it usually goes down to $3, £2, 3 euro.

Still that's beside the point, i guess Square Enix are just really greedy to charge max gog price for it (not as bad as jowood).

Worth if you don't own it though, especially considering it's DRM Free.
Cheaper? Deus Ex GOTY priced at USD10 here, same as GOG. And i'm not sure whether it have extra content such as soundtrack, newspaper etc.

Greedy, and kind of smart. It's Deus Ex, one of the most popular games on the PC.
I have never played DE but it looks good. I don't think ten bucks is too high. GoG does need to make a profit. Long as it works without problems.

You all know that buying the first game you are funding the next sequel, Deus Ex: Human Revolution 2? Right?

That's why Square Enix is charging $10 for it today. So buy DX1 and support the future of the franchise. :)

I already have the game so I'll wait until it's on shelf just to get it on my shelf and have the extras. :)
Can anyone confirm if the sound issues have been fixed or not present in the GoG verison? In my Steam version everyone sounds like robots. It seems to be a common problem with Win7. I have tried all the fixes on the internet but nothing seems to help.

If so I would buy this one again here. I have never played the game past the tutorial because the Steam issues ruin the atmosphere.
Since when does Square have the rights to DeusEx? I'm truelly shocked, i always thought that's Eidos. Well, it's wish-listed and probably the first thing i buy once i have money again. Thank you GOG.

Eidos officially became part of Square Enix on 22 April 2009.
Totally redundant post incoming:
A nice boxed anthology is available here for like 4$, so it's a pass (same as with Hitman).
Still, this games place is on GOG alright (same as with Hitman).
Great release and long overdue here on GOG

Deus EX is really one of the best games ever and was very innovative for it's time

Though I have to admit that 10 Dollars is a bit steep for a 12 year old game, even if the GOG version is cheaper than the Steam version (which is 10 euro there)

Also: Kudos to GOG for the great Extras!

Definitely will get this at some point down the line, wishlisted for now :)
