We’re back with Funbox releases and today we have a game that will not only satisfy your need of great retro games, but also can be enjoyed by the youngsters.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/litil_divil]Litil Divil is an action adventure game with unique comic design and memorable characters thanks to which the game aged gracefully. As Matt the unlucky devil, you have been sent to a hellish maze from which you have to retrieve the Mystical Pizza of Plenty. The gameplay consists of two key elements: the first one is the maze in which you have to find gold, equipment and various rooms filled with puzzles or action sequences. The second element is when you reach an interesting point in your pizza-seeking perambulation and either have to solve a puzzle or beat a minigame. Even judging by the title you can easily see that the game is kid friendly, so this can be the perfect opportunity to inculcate your kiddos with an appreciation of the Good Old Games ;)
Wouldn't count a rip of a game a "version" though.

Oh, and Diggers had an official AGA release on four disks. http://hol.abime.net/354

epithumia: Yes. Yes, I did.
I posted on their forum yesterday to notify about this, and just now I checked they had download link replaced with a buying link to GOG Litil Divil game card page.
Wow, going from Crusader, Ultima Underworld, Magic Carpet, and Alpha Centauri (among others) to... this... in the span of a week. Kinda like switching careers from F-1 racing to go-karts.

There's underwhelming release weeks, and then there's underwhelming release weeks.

Why is Tom Petty's "Free Falling" running through my head right now?

But hey, at least this gives my wallet chance to catch its breath! :)

Don't diss a genre you don't like broheim.

Who died and made you Mom? I don't think I'm "dissing" anything by saying this game is nowhere near as huge as the recent EA releases, take the Sensitivity Stick out of your ass.

No need to be harsh. That line was partially in jest. I wasn't trying to insult you or anything like that.

Who's being sensitive here, I wonder.

Also, if every release has to be of the calibre from last two weeks, we're going to have an awfully empty store. And to be honest, a lot of my favourite games that I want from GOG aren't considered nearly as "huge" as those, so if we're going to only cater for the most popular/wanted, it wouldn't be a very exciting store. I think the term "forgotten gems" could be used for games like that. The biggest sellers aren't always the most wanted.

That's not cool man, I thought you were a game rager and yet here you are being reasonable :(

And StarEye, keep tilting at those windmills.

I don't see any windmills. You should try and maybe not think every post is written by an anxious teenager who shouts the words at the screen as he write them. ;)
I remember when this came out and wanting to play it but never bought it. Pleased I can rectify that and very pleased to see Gremlin Interactive once again, one of those companies I miss from the old (Amiga) days
Yeah, about that. Will we perhaps see other Gremlin games, like Zool, Lotus or the Super Cars series? I'd love to see Super Cars International. I tried that game a long time ago, and the gameplay was very much improved upon the original. It's basically a re-make of Super Cars 1 and 2 in one package, with better graphics, better gameplay, more stuff and new soundtrack. Came out in '96.

If Gremlin had the rigts to that, I assume GOG should be able to release this. Too few top-down games in the world to leave such a gem to the past.

Oh wow! That game looks awesome!

I played Supercars 1 and 2 on my Amiga but I never knew they had an enhanced version for PC.

Me wants!
Someone said Lotus? I would like a Lotus. Been driving a Lotus in Test Drive Unlimited 2, oh the horrible handling.

Though on the Amiga I preferred Jaguar XJ220 playing coop with a friend. Mainly for the metagame of earning money to repair your car and buy tickets to enter the new races. Made it feel more like a progression
(Hall of Light, Jaguar XJ220)

As for Litil Divil, I recall this from back in the day trying it on a friend's PC. The artstyle definately seemed a bit scarey and yet adventurous for me back then. For some odd reason, when South Park had the episode with Lemmiwinks the gerbil I was reminded of Litil Divil.
