hello there! me and my brother have played games for years, he played his old amiga system when he was a kid and i grew up around the slightly more modern side of gaming, with the ps1 and whatnot.

we decided that we wanted to share some of that love for gaming with anyone who would listen and we have allready had over 1500 viewers so i think we have done quite well for ourselves, we tend to update multiple times a day on all the new gaming news and we write reviews on games gone by and previews for upcomming games, heck GOG has been a good website to us since we have bought many a game from here.

if you would like to get involved and take a look at our site then please go right ahead.

Your first post on GOG is to promote your own site... Not likely to get you many fans :/ Try being a little more active in the forums first...

Registered: Jul 2011, so not as if he's joined just today to spam his site

It's a nice site though and he likes gog so what's the problem, also we see many other indie sites posted here and indie bundles.

p.s Deuteros was AMAZING loved that game :D

I'm not into retro games, but good luck with the site, it looks cool.

What are you doing here :p

Enjoying the company of us anti-social plebs I would imagine :)

The website looks OK, typical blog layout. The images on the sides definitely betray its British origins (Feud, Max Headroom, Zub, all big games in the UK and practically unknown elsewhere) :)

Sounds about right lol

I'm surprised Fued isn't so well known across the states as well, that other wizard always freaked me out
It's not a website. It's a blog. You cheated :(

Well, some of the games on the site are rather more retro than would appeal to me, my oldest game interests would be Baldurs/Fallout etc. While they are "old", I wouldn't be inclined to call them retro, but I guess a rose by any other name is still a thorny smelly plant. :)

What am I doing here? Well, as jamyskis implied, its more of a social thing, as I would already have all the games on gog that would be of interest to me. :)

Someone's familiar with Did You Know Gaming...
First page has a lot on Emulation right now which ranges from grey area to illegal.

And as mentioned other articles are merely re-using content from other sites which can be seen/is plagiarism.

I would suggest moving away from those.

Edit: I would also recommend redoing your sites background, it's on the busy side and kind of detracts from the articles.

which i'll not provide as you need those legally <- Doesn't seem illegal to me, the article clearly states as such. It's just a review, yes maybe it's a grey area but illegal no.

And as mentioned other articles are merely re-using content from other sites which can be seen/is plagiarism. <- Re-using content? in what way from what i can see from every indie/review site something is used from something else. Screenshots maybe less so but articles yes, how many times do you see a website quoting another.

Background I agree it could do with changing

One of the articles you have in regards to Grand Theft Auto is a near identical copy of a video from Did You Know Gaming video series that was released earlier. It gives the impression that the article merely copies that video.

Also one article links to a site that lets you play NES/SNES Roms in your browser. That there is more than likely illegal as Nintendo has not approved the usage of any of there games outside of a Nintendo system.

I'm sure the reviewer will be spanked hard if that's found out to be the case ( re copying )

Don't forget you are reading news posts, Nintendo is more likely to go after that site and further more they only issue cease and desist orders as a first basis to worst offenders.
