Limit Theory is a single player only game. LT2 will be single player and multiplayer, but that's way down the road. Limit Theory is coming along fantastically well, and Josh is a goddamn coding genius. It will launch on Mac, Windows and Linux; he got it ported and running way early in the process so it already is stable and tri-platform. There are update videos on the last day of every month. You can also read the daily Dev Log here: http://forums.ltheory.com/viewforum.php?f=12&sid=bfbef8e952696408e4cef54220598903 It really, really is worth reading. The stuff that is happening is spectacular, amazing, and could very well revolutionize a whole bunch of shit.

X Rebirth was supposedly horribly broken at launch. Dunno if its been fixed since then.

Have you tried the Strike Suit games/
DO NOT GET X REBIRTH

The game is very bad, and still to this day it does not work as it should. Play any of the other games in the series, but please do your self a favor and don't buy that game.

Star Citizen - is supposed to have a single player portion of the game (iirc something like 20 missions or at least), but after all the $ came flooding in the dialogue seems to be all about the online portion of the game.
this doesnt mean that the SP is non-existant though but it remains to be seen. ive avoided the forums and site over there for a while since its way too many waves of info + more waves blended with 'lore' and its hard to wade through the muck, so maybe there is some fresher news on the SP front.
with the funding continually increasing it could make augmenting the SP portion even easier though.

Just what are peoples expectations now compared from the start of that one (and im not talking just kickstarter either), to now?.37mill+ is a lot of money for a game (yeah yeah compared to AAA) - are the expectations much much higher because of this? - all i will say it bloody well be a much more better game than all the previous games kickstarted/crowdsourced.If not, its a flop in my eyes

im expecting some ridiculously awesome space battles based on the multi-crewed ships and boarding parties.

i want to see the ships players can create and sell in game (in game currency no real world $) should be pretty interesting to see what rises to the top selling / useful ship configs that aren't 'pre-made'.
maybe some x-wing type ships, any starship enterprise, or other awesome scifi famous vessels. a Borg cube would be great if it could be done in starcitizen, and the epic battles within.

im still hopefully for a great single player campaign, and the massive funding makes its quite possible and easily attainable.
Elite: Dangerous is in alpha now
Thanks for the info guys. The videos are so cool *drooling*
I usually prefer a good long SP story more than MP-only, but the latter is highly appreciated too!
I'm hoping that one of these could become a great title like Xwing\Privateer\Freespace series.
(please no pay-to-win!)

It's not in keeping with the other games listed but figured I'd post it here in case it caught your interest.

It does look like it's coming along nicely. Obviously, quite a ways to go yet, but you can tell it's Josh's baby, and his enthusiasm to produce a quality sandbox space sim is evident. I remember looking this over back on Kickstarter, and if I hadn't already invested in a few other games, probably would have thrown in on his as well. Like most of the other games I invested in, the estimated finish date is way off (Jan 2014 for LT). I had pretty much forgotten about this one, so thanks for posting the video link. Keeping this one on my radar, and looking forward to seeing the finished product someday, and picking it up to waste more of my free time on.
