[Cartman voice]:
So, am I to assume there will be no appetizers?

So, Baldurs Gate is the only thing to happen this week?
No weekend deal?

:(
There are a few possibilities.
1)The new GOG doesn't contain promos on a weekly, regular basis.
2)The new GOG doesn't have promos from Friday to Monday, but in an other interval.
3)Everything stays the same, but there's no deal for this week yet.
4)There will be a promo starting, say, tomorrow, and it's back to Friday from next week on.
There may be other possibilities, but they came to mind at once. We shall see what the truth is...
Probably no deal this weekend, but next weekend.

My guess.
[joke] What? a new gog website isn't enough for you? [/joke]

to be honest... I think the new website took up so much of their time they might not have a weekend sale this time around. We should see it return next week... maybe?
Haha.
No, the site change was not enough. :P

And BG wasnt enough either, since I dont like that genre.

Gog needs to get more FPS games on here.
:D
We, the procrastinators of GOG, may receive the opportunity to pick up last weekend's deal in lieu of a new deal. Hint, hint...

That will be all.

The old GOG didn't have that, so there is really no difference in this respect.

The fact is, GOG just went through a huge change and the fallout from that change is still being felt. They have far too many bugs in the site to dedicate any time to working up a weekend deal, especially when one of those bugs appears to affect some people's ability to download the games they have purchased. They have already said they have plenty in store for us in the weeks to come and I am absolutely certain that at least some of it will include a weekend deal.
I also logged in today looking for a weekend deal. I would have thought with the total crapfest of their little PR stunt they might have a really good sale to gain back some good will from their loyal customers. But apparently not.
My guess would be that they have so much traffic right now (due to the PR stunt), that they don't feel the need to offer any special deals.
Come on GOG, at least give us back last weeks sale that you cut short.
Well, they did have this to say:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/apologies_for_gogs_pr_stunt/page1

Surprises, and whatnot next week.

I know there was another thread about offereing users some form of compensation/sale/price reduction/whatever coming soon also as a way of saying sorry.

I know it wasn't in its (promised/guaranteed) features, but the weekend deal was almost always there, leading to the logical conclusion that they planned it to stay.

That's what I think, too, at least regarding the reason for the lack of a deal this week. As for a new deal next week... We shall see.
