HiPhish: If you want you can play them (or any other DOS games) in Boxer, that's the same thing GoG use for their official Mac versions:
http://boxerapp.com
First you need the game files, to get them install the Windows version using BootCamp, a virtual machine, an actual Windows PC or Wine (personally I use Wineskin, it's Wine but in an easy way). Then drag the folder containing the game files onto Boxer's importer and it will import all the game files, DOSBox settings by GoG and even the icon and wrap up everything nicely. Then all you need to do is double-click and start playing.

In fact I prefer Boxer over GoG's Mac versions because it's easier to install mods and you get Roland MT32 emulation, which had to get stripped out of the GoG standalone wrapper. Also, you need Boxer only once on you hard drive, not for every game, so it saves some space.
I appreciate the instructions on how to do this without using a gog-installation file. However, what I like about GOG are drm-free, great attitude, seamless installation, and great support. I really would like to see them make Ultima 7-8 a download and install process the GOG way, for Mac. I hope that makes sense.

Sure, I understand what you mean, but since there are people out there who still don't know about Boxer I thought it would be useful for those who just want to play the games now. Until GoG provide a Mac version Boxer is the best choice for playing DOS games. What's cool is that Boxer imports the DOSBox settings too, so you don't even have to fiddle around whith those either.
You can also add for the Macintosh all the games based on DOSBox and SCUMMVM, they are already working fine on Mac OS X... The problem is only to ask permission to the owner of the game rights.

dirtyharry50: This is great news. I already own some of the titles listed on GOG so I am very happy they are now ready to go for Mac. Master of Orion 1 & 2 (and Master of Magic!) are on my wish list currently. I'm very glad that is going to be for Mac now. I hope Master of Magic will too in the future.

I too would dearly love to see all the Might and Magic games brought to Mac, the RPGS and Strategy games, at least all the ones it is possible to do so with.

In any case, thanks GOG! Keep up the good work. When I noted recently you have just certified a huge number of games for Windows 8 it became obvious you have been extremely busy for some time now doing all of that. Hopefully now you'll have the resources free to bring us more Mac gaming goodness faster!!! ha ha!

Thank you again for supporting Macs. It means a lot to me.
I second this as well! I'm loving the Mac support!
GOG working hard for Mac ;) Not my cup of tea.

kristenmaxwell: Great news! I still scratch my head about Geneforge being Windows only though... was that not a Mac original?
If by Mac originals you mean they were ported to Windows I don't believe so, I'm a long time Spiderweb fan and I've never seen them release stuff without covering both operating systems. However, they fact that the games are available natively on Mac from Spiderweb on their website and only available for Windows here on GOG is rather boggling.

Possibly because all but Geneforge 5 are PowerPC binaries and thus won't run on OS X 10.7 or later (since Rosetta, the emulation layer, was discontinued)? (Gen5 is a universal binary, so it can run natively on both PowerPC and Intel)

At least that's my guess, only the page for Gen5 says "will run natively on Intel Macintoshes", but it also says "Macintosh running System 10.3.9 or later" (the first Intel version of OS X was 10.4.4).
Thanks again for your efforts to support multiple platforms. They are much appreciated. Additionally, I appreciate your support of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard since lots of us want to or have to stay on the OS (I personally own an HP Multifunction device purchased end of 2006 which works wonders, but only has scan drivers for XP and Snow Leopard :( Keep up the good work!

TheEnigmaticT: I am told it is fixed.
I still get an error message saying "no mountable file systems" when I try to install Broken Sword 2.

When did you last re-download the files from us?

This morning via the GOG Downloader. I tried twice just to be sure and got the error message on both downloaded files.

Edit: I tried a direct download and it works fine! Thanks! :)

Hm. Welp, I'm out of clever ideas. Can you contact Support? They're the guys who should have the know-how to fix the problem. I'll also point this thread out to them, but for tracking purposes, it helps for them to have a ticket number in the system.

See my edit above. Works fine now after a direct download! Thanks!
