KneeTheCap: I think it ends on monday, so still one more day left (the encore sale?)
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
But truthfully, sales-wise I don't really trust Steam very much ;)

keeveek: They did that again. First when I checked, terraria was for 2,50 bucks. Now, when I've decided to buy it, it's 4,99.

Screw steam. And this isn't just me. If you check steam forums, you will see DOZENS of people saying that they won't buy this game because the price "doubled". So they lost some money today on that decision.
You know what's even funnier (or sadder)?

The dev's Terraria forum is filled with people that were complaining that the price was $2.50 - saying that they were screwed over because they paid more. And when the price went up they were happy.

What the hell is wrong with these people?!

I was kind of annoyed that 'Blue' (one of the two officials at Re-logic) posted he'd make sure to convert the European price tag according to currency values and not a simple standard $=€, if Steam allowed them to, only to see exactly that happening one day later.
And not even a single word of excuse.
That's why I wouldn't put that lame PR stunt past them.

Complaining for the sake of complaining on steam. Nothing new there. We complain a lot too though. Maybe not as consistently, but still plenty. See every EA gog release thread and the last JoWood release.

Every game goes on sale or decreases in value. If you felt it was worth $9.99, stop complaining about it now. Then complaints about the no price adjustment thing saying Bestbuy does it. Bestbuy handles a small amout per store in a day, Not 1000's upon thousands of requests per hour.

it's huge difference between these two sitautions. If someone bought the game for 9,99 on day 1st, they complaing about sale is just because they're childish.

If someone bought the game for 9,99 day before sale started, it's more justifyed, but still, childish.

But there is psychological effect abour pricing, I already told that. If someones going to the shop to buy beer because he saw advertise saying it's 0,99 , and when he comes to the shop it's 1,99 , he will PROBABLY won't buy anything.

Because if a game is 75% off, like 2,50
and then it's 5,00 , it's 100% price growth which kills most people's will to buy it.

No, you misunderstood. The people on Steam were complaining because of the price increase - which is to be expected.

The people at Terraria's official forums (at the dev's website) were complaining that people bought it FOR CHEAPER THAN THEY DID.

No I think I did. Paragraph two from my post covers that exact point or at least I meant it to be. If you read it wrong I can't be held responsible. When I said you I didn't mean you but as a more general statement for all wwho bought.

Agready. However the part I can't accept is:
- wasting so much time ranting, complaining and re-reading / following those threads (sure feels good being on the "right" side), people would have earned the difference with actual work.
- pointing with the finger at others, without freaking knowing who did what when and why.... the dark age is long gone, witchhunts should be, too.

Don't agree with the price increase / can't accept some guy made a mistake - don't buy, wait and check again at the next sale.
But complaining about that some guys gotten it cheaper then you can now and demanding to lower the price is so fu**ing out of the question.
I agree with you. The only voice in business should be the sound of your money staying or being taken out from your pocket. (by you, of course :D)
As expected, it's encore sales.
Rehash sale though I think every daily deal is rehashed today and not just a best of the daily deals rehash.

Personally, I think this is better than just putting a dozen new games on sale today.

edit: Nope, just a best of daily deals rehash. Damn false advertising with the summer camp picture.

Not all of the daily deals are repeated today. I was hoping for a repeat of Company of Heroes, but that one is definitely missing.
I have 10.97 euros available for today and it's time to spend them and forget Steam until the X-mas sales.

I am already planning to get DEFCON for my laptop today, which costs 4.99, so can anyone recommend a good game/games for 5.98 and less?

My personal suggestion would be Zombie Driver, but try the demo first.

Will do, thanks, I'll see whether it's any good. If it's unattractive and nothing else comes up from others, I'll probably get either Terraria or Just Cause 2 along with a couple of DLCs to maximize the available amount.
