StingingVelvet: I have used Win7 64bit since its release candidate came out and have never had an issue with any GOG games on it. Obviously I have not bought them all, but still the point is you should be relatively safe.
I was about to start a new discussion about Win7, but this thread will do.
How about other Win98/XP games (not GOG), how good is the game compatibility in Win7? I'm asking this because now, at last, my employer is updating our PCs to Win7 era. :) Currently I am using WinXP on my work laptop, and sometimes I install some older PC Windows games from my vast library I have bought over the years, most of which are Win9x games.
WinXP has Win9x compatibility mode that has worked pretty well for me, and coupled with DosBOX, currently I can play pretty much all my PC games on the same XP laptop. Does Win7 have the same (Win9x compatibility mode)?
How about the installation, do the Win7 extra security measures cause problems for them? It still remains to be seen whether I will be able to disable UAC and/or get admin rights to my laptop.
I just don't want to have to carry two laptops with me everywhere, one for work things and one for games... :)
