I can get Dungeon Keeper II to run on Vista, but after about 30 minutes it will crash to the desktop, I did this on XP and got the same results.
I'd kill a man for DKII to come to GOG...

dudalb: I have never had any problem with the Windows version on XP on a modern system. There have been some problems with Vista and Win 7, but there are work arouns that seem to help a lot of people.
ANyway, there is always the DOS version of both DUngeon Keeper and the Expansion, and they work fine under DOSBOX, so it is not really a biggie. BTW the DOS and Windows version are exactly the same.
You can't use the 3D acclerated version in DOS, but you are not missing much (the graphics are only slightly improved) and most modern Video cards don;t like the acclereted version anyway.

1. The 3D accelerated version does look significantly better. I think it will run in a higher resolution too.
2. While the DOS version does run through DOSBox, it doesn't run smoothly, at least not on my system. It's playable, but not too enjoyable.

It should run under ScummVM - until you get to a certain scene, anyhow...

If your disc includes the DOS version (not all releases do), an alternative to ScummVM is to run that in DOSBox.

Worms Armageddon is pretty much the only old game I have that I can't run anymore. Which is sad, because it's pretty much the best one, and the developers were patching it for years after it's release. Alas; I can't get it to run under Windows 7 without the colors being inverted.

Yeah I've tried that, unfortunately mine does not have the DOS version :(
Speaking of installers, I once grapped a copy of Blood 2 from a bargain bin and popped it in to my drive to install it, which of course didn't work. Short googling provided info, that the whole installer of the game was broken, so I had to download a patched installer from the game makers site in order to get the thing installed.
