Just wanted to ask out of curiosity:

If I made a topic a while ago asking a question that no one really gave an answer I was looking for, but then the question was actually solved by an update, how should I mark it as solved?

For example: I asked a while back if there was an easy way to check what was immediately on sale on GoG, and there hadn't been such a way at the time. Now it exists and thus the topic doesn't need to be revisited, should I simply ignore this topic or is there some way to mark it as solved... what should I do in the situation?

---

Also, if I stumble upon a solution to a problem I've asked about but no one has given a satisfactory answer, what should I do then?

You need to solve a question "manually" by selecting the post of another users. You can neither update your original post and mark this as answer, nor can you mark your own posts as answer.

You could bump it, somebody would answer it and then mark it. But considering that the Q:A threads are meant to make it easier for others with the same question, you can simply let those threads die because nobody will probably search for the anyway now.
Or you could just pick someone you like and say that they answered it even if they didn't.

The solution option is not essential. Just forget about it.
Alright, I haven't exactly frequented GoG so I wasn't sure what the right thing to do in this situation was. Thanks.
