Welcome back all you bargain price hunters. Are you ready for another 24 hour special promo? This time you can grab [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tropico_reloaded]Tropico Reloaded for as cheap as $3.99! That's 2 games plus an add-on that takes you on tropical islands for less then you'd pay for a sunblock.

Don't know what the game is about? Tropico Reloaded is a real-time managerial strategy that puts you in a role of El Presidente of a banana republic or a Pirate King, depending which part of the series you play. Although you're on tropical islands it's not just sipping drinks with umbrellas and smoking cigars - there is actual work to be done. You have to govern well to become the beloved ruler of your people or you can crush them under your dictatorial inclinations - we leave it up to you.

The game is only $3.99 until Thursday, February 17 at 10 a.m. EDT. You can expect another "24 hour promo" like this next Wednesday.
I was about to buy this anyway, now it's an instabuy, great Promo!!

Hillsy_: I know absolutely nothing about this game, any good? or is it just a stocking filler? Will check out some reviews at gamerankings.
Basically, you play the leader (you can customize your avatar regarding your way of acquiring power, your background, and your strong/weak points) of a Cuban-style island either as an iron-fisted dictator or a caring president. Anything works as long as you can stay in power.
You have to build houses, infrastructure and buildings for agriculture, exploiting raw materials and industry; of course, you have to make a lot of money for all this, so you have to produce for export. You can also issue a large number of policies that affect the life on your island. You do all this while trying to stay on good terms with the representatives of every faction (such as intellectuals, communitst, capitalists or religious people) or have them fear you.
Tropico has a very good atmosphere (with GREAT music, a large part of which is also downloadable as an extra!) and much depth. Its major weakness is probably its less-than-stellar AI that governs your people; they tend to do some really stupid things.
No promo for me, I have it already.
At least my purse won't starve to death.
Apparently I already own it - when did I buy this?

Note to self: Stop drinking.
nmillar: Thank you! I had to try if the comment under your name just looked like a gift code or if it really was. And it was. Now I don't have to sit here trying to decide if I should buy the game :)

You're welcome - enjoy! :)

Took quite a while for anyone to notice!

But to support GOG (since I was actually going to buy it anyway) here's another giftcode for someone else to try out: DZVU-ZLE6-CMAJ-EQ2J

You didn't even get a thank you! :/
Wow gift codes galore! Didn't use it myself, not my kind of game. This is why GOG users are the best. Hope you get a thank you.

Actually, you can check that: just click on the box on your virtual shelf, ask for "Game info" and there you go.
(NOTE: this doesn't mean you shouldn't stop drinking. ;-))

No, just like I stated, I endorse your non-drinking.
I endorse the drinking of beer and gifting of GOGs.
One day promos are only Great Games - the kind I already bought. No complains, keep them coming!

I won't pick the gift code since I don't like RTS games and I'm not a big fan of sim games either, but I'd like to thank all the generous GOG users out there that share their love of games! :)
