Just to let the Gog team know, these are some of the other major publishers requested by the community almost as much:

1- SEGA
2- Bethesda
3- Blizzard

Blizzard is not a big publisher in terms of the amount of games they own. They onlu have Diablo 1 & 2 + expansion, Starcraft + expansion, Warcradt 1 & 2 plus expansion, The Lost Vikings 1 + 2.

That's possibly 7 items in GOG store (or 8 if you caount Lost Vikings as a separate item), so that doesn't make Blizzard a big publisher.


SEGA - what PC games they own? II was sure they own mailny console games, and GOG isn't interested in those atm.

THQ - same question, PC games arn't main part of their catalogue, and most of them are too new.

Its about who owns the rights to the games, not who developed them.

Total War. Football Manager as well but I doubt that would be of interest to anyone. Like FIFA and Madden it needs yearly updates.

I know for sure they own Relic Studios, and they developed Homeworld and Company of Heroes, so I think they own the rights to both of those.

Not much if you compare it to catalogues of the "big 5"

Relic alone means Homeworld, Impossible Creatures, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes. THQ also own Volition which means Red Faction and Saints Row 2 No not at all but a lot of people would like the Total War games here. Sega also ported a lot of their games to the PC like Outrun 2006, Crazy Taxi 3, Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally and a lot more. They would also be quite welcome here.

I have nothing against those games, I just pointed there's some difference between EA, LucasArts or Eidos (SE) and THQ, SEGA or Blizzard, in the amount of games they have.

Btw, for one second I thought you meant Crazy Cars 3, not Crazy Taxi 3. I'd give my hand to see Crazy Cars 3 here.

SEGA at least on PC would be what I would call Tier 2. EA and Lucasarts would be Tier 1. Blizzard as much as people love them would be Tier 3. Yes Blizzard have some very good games but it's hardly an expansive cataloge. GOG would be done releasing Blizzard games in less than two months.

Blizzard also made Blackthorne, which is a great platform game.

SEGA published the Total War games, as well as Championship Manager (now Football Manager), and more recently Alpha Protocol (probably others too).

THQ published the Dawn of War games, Company of Heroes, Saints Row, Stalker, Supreme Commander, Titan Quest and more.

GOG has hinted in the past that we might get emulated games here, which could include console games or perhaps Amiga games.

So whilst these are smaller publishers, they still have some games to offer, and they might be considerations for the two publishers arriving in the autumn.

During the conference they told us that those two publiosher they are hoping to sign until summer, which would made them be here in the autumn, are two of those "big 5"

Pesronally, apart from LA, EA and Eidos, I'd really like to see 2K here, because they own rights to Civilization series.

Sega has released a number of PC games (including the Total War series, which someone else already mentioned), though I'd say most of them are console ports. I'd love to see them here since I've enjoyed their games since the Genesis days, but they seem content in re-releasing the same games over and over, while ignoring many of their other classics.

For example, how many versions of Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi are there, yet Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Panzer Dragoon (take your pick), Shining Force 3 (including the 2 scenarios that have never left Japan), etc continue to collect dust...

Now granted the 4 games I mentioned were console only (though Panzer Dragoon 1 was a PC title), but this was more of a general Sega rant :)
