If you ask the company for a refund now they claim they have no idea how they got your payment, and thus can't give a refund.

Is that even legal anymore?

Wow, that's awful for anyone who bought the game. What a joke this company is.

Hadn't really shown any interest in the game since I got the immediate impression that it was nothing short of a cash grab on DayZ's success but I watched a Total Biscuit video covering it yesterday and could hardly believe these guys. Unbelievable to say the least.

But bullshitting people that they don't have their purchases on record? Come on, that's deplorable.
At this point if I had the game on steam I'd ask for it to be converted into an inventory item instead of a refund as the "fixed" version may never see the light of day. Then you have a true collector's item to sell off later.

No it isn't. In fact it's a blatant lie, because it's impossible for any active company NOT being able to track their income or other partners that for example deal with their funds in any way. Simply because, in most countries, they are obliged by law to do so. If they don't they're breaking the law and may be accused of fraud.

The day they announced The War Z, i thought "total cashgrab" and didn't trust them for this reason alone.
