Well, our big sale starts in 18 hours, where virtually the entire catalog will be 50% off and we'll be giving away Empire Earth: Gold Edition for free for 48 hours.

Before we get to that, though, we're going to give away one last round of bonus codes for our holiday celebration. We have 50 codes that are good for any $5.99 game in our catalog, and 50 codes that will work for any $9.99 game in our catalog. Leave a comment in this forum thread with your favorite character from a GOG.com game and tell us whether you'd like a $5.99 code or a $9.99 one.

the game definitely sucks you in with it's atmosphere and Geralt has a rather complex character versus most of the 'nameless' ones you play in other games

My favorite character has to be the chosen one from Fallout 2. There are just not too many characters who start off prodding lizards with sticks and by the end of the game are using power armor and laser guns.

I would like a $9.99 code if possible.

man, this makes you realise how many great original characters have been created for videogames. i think i'll go with morte from planescape: torment.

It has to be Simon from the Simon the Sorceror games.
Such an unlikely hero with so many sarcastic and on-the-edge comments - definately beats all the muscle-bound lugs in the action games.

And if I get picked I'd like a $5.99 code please so I can get the lands of Lore games.

It's Twinsen from the Little Big Adventure games! Because I've known him since I was a little kid, and he is not only a good person and the perfect hero, but also a great family man! He's a good role model to have =)

Close runner-ups were Lance Boyle because he's cool, Groove Champion because he's cool, and Tex Murphy because he's cool... but in this case I choose heart over swagger =)

I would love a $9.99 coupon.... if you're gonna play, play for the jackpot!

Hmm, difficult question. Lots of memorable characters to choose from... I think I'll pick Crow from The Longest Journey.
