Oh, did they release that in a collection? Seems like they tend to avoid it because it would cause an M-Rating on the overall package.

I loved the Sega CD game, I bought that back in 95/96, I don't think I ever got into a fighting game as much since that one. The backstory on all the characters, the music, everything, it was so fine tuned compared to the Genesis game. Easily my favorite fighting game of all time. They talked about doing a Saturn 3D sequel but it didn't quite appeal to me, as in my opinion it's better in 2D.

I absolutely love the cd version in almost every aspect, the only thing I think the genesis version does better IMO is the music. It's much more moody and fitting in the genesis version for some reason. Especially the bad ending music and the character bio music.

Yeah, they re-did the music to take advantage of the CD format, I like both, the FM gensis music was very cool and dark sounding, while the Sega CD's techno stuff was cool too, which is why I think the Genesis version needs to be preserved alongside the Sega CD version. I also remember the genesis version having slightly different controls, and being so much more difficult, I don't think I ever managed to even get to the Eternal Champion in that one.

Yeah the AI is pretty brutal unless you memorize their patterns then it is still tough, but much easier to do on the genesis. Glad to own at least the genesis version though. I thought about buying the disc of the CD version and just running it on an emulator to play it. At least I'd have the game that way. lol

First, let me just start by saying I've been following this whole scammer issue, though I've been avoiding participating in it because I'm a fairly new user and I don't have that much to say except for "it really saddens me to see someone take advantage of nice people, especially in a community so generous and trusting as the one we have here". It's my genuine feeling, even if it doesn't matter much. I won one game in a giveaway and got THREE games gifted to me just by asking for them in the GOG Community Gifting Thread, this week, and it's really annoying to see opportunistic jerks exploiting the kindness and generosity of people like those. I feel bad for having won four games and not being able, due to my economical conditions, to pay the generosity of my "benefactors" forward, like they deserved, by gifting something back to the community, so I feel a bit disgusted at scammers like this "maestro" individual.

I would like to be in on this giveaway, if that's OK, for a Battle of the Games title: Divinity II: Developer's Cut.

I'd like to be in because of the effort people like Raze_Larian have been making for me to enjoy the Divinity series. A while ago someone gave me Divine Divinity here on GOG (thank you very much, by the way!), and though I've been trying for months to enjoy and get into it, I just can't. I feel bad, because I really wanted to like the game, but it's just not my cup of tea. A lot of Divinity fans have been recommending me to get Divinity II, as it plays differently and it looks more like my type of game. I owe that passionate community a chance to immerse myself into at least one of the games they love, and I'm pretty sure Divinity II might be the one to make me a Divinity fan.

If I happen to be one of the winners, and you find Divinity II's price to be too steep, then consider Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, a game I love and have on disc, but can't seem to be able to run without some tedious troubleshooting on my computer.

Of the two, I'd prefer Divinity, but I'd more than welcome GK2 if you think the first one is too pricey.

Best regards, and keep up the good work, you have a whole community of amazing folks backing you up, don't let stupid people like this scammer bring you down.

[EDIT] goddamned typos.

I'm glad to see your taking this relatively well and not letting it get you down. I'm glad you got the game you wanted, despite the unpleasantness.

I'd like to be in for Red Faction 1
The main thing that attracts me to the game is the promise of a well written story and the option to mess with the landscape. One of the reviews said that it is good for pretending your in the story of Total Recall. I hope this isn't entirely true since I know the story of Total Recall; essentially spoiling the entire plot if it follows along those lines too closely. However as long as the shooting mechanics follow through (which the store page promises it does) then it should be fine. While the story is important the absolute most important thing in a shooter should do is make shooting things an endless joy. I had a great time playing Rage and that had the story written by a goldfish, but shooting the mutants never got tiresome.
Lots of people seem to be getting burned on trades. My condolences...

I'd like to be in for Gabriel Knights 1. After the disappointment of Moebius, I figured I'd go back to the last great thing Jane Jensen made. I had the game ages ago, and remember really enjoying it.

Don't get discouraged by some annoying jerk, people like them aren't even worth our time.
