Hello,

Isn't there a place on GOG to vote for new games to get? If so, how can I find it from the Home page.

Thanks In Advance,
kk
Certainly. You find it from the Home page by clicking Community, then General discussion, finding this thread, and finally clicking . There's also a link in the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/welcome_please_read]Welcome, please read! -thread. It's much easier to find than this one ;)

Adzeth: There's also a link in the Welcome, please read! -thread.
They should rename that sticky to "Under no circumstances may you read this thread!!!", maybe then people would actually read it.

or even better:
"[18+] nude pictures here - DO NOT enter!"

That would actually most likely work :P

LOL! Now THAT's a better suggestion!

Admittedly, that ought to work better ;-)
Hello,

Judging from some of the replies to my question, I should have easily been able to find the link I was looking for to cast my vote for future games on GOG. I went back to General Discussion to see if I should have been more observant.

Well, there was no subject relating to voting on a GOG wishlist on the first page and with over 400 pages listed, I did not feel like searching through all of them. In addition to that, how would I have known or had any remote idea that the voting link was in the "Welcome" sticky without being told.

There should be an easy to find link either on either the Home page or an easy to find one on the "Community" page. It shouldn't be hidden in a Welcome message.

The trouble is that the wishlist has been mostly deactivated. The wishlist wasn't very useful because you simply typed in the name of a game and so 50 different versions of the same game popped up from users as they typed in different ways of writing the same game's title. It was too much the GOG staff to keep it clean and organized. So while GOG still has it, that is why the wishlist is no longer linked to under the main page or otherwise easy to find.

And you should have been. The whole point is that when you join a new forum, and there is a sticky named "Welcome, please read", you should read it. You obviously didn't. But then, neither does a lot of other people. I guess it's part of the same phenomenon that makes people who've just bought a new piece of electronics throw the manual in the garbage immediately.

Anyway, you got your answer, so welcome to GOG :-)

Well, you have a point. I will say, however, that I have read "Welcome" notices from other sites and forums I've joined in the past and the messages simply welcomed me to the site and gave the usual comments about being polite and watching your language, etc. None of them ever had anything like the one GOG has. Because of past experiences with "Welcome" messages all basically being the same, I skipped this one.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for there comments and help.

It's not a biggie, since I am firmly convinced that people still wouldn't read it even if it there was a link to it in the middle of the screen and next to every single pressable button. I know I probably wouldn't.
Personally, I think GoG staff is not looking at wanted page anymore. They just add new games to their catalogue if it's possible.

There weren't many votes on rollercoaster tycoon, but there it is. They just keep adding games that are possible to make agreement with publisher.
