Hello,

Many games distributed by GOG are plain DOS games, i.e. they are run from within DOSBox.

I use a Linux type f OS (namely, Fedora 16) and although GOG distributions run well from under Wine, the idea of running Windows DOSBox to play the game isn't that amusing. It's much more convenient to install the game and run it under native DOSBox emulation.

I suppose that adding a special README file in every game distribution, describing how to make the game running under Linux DOSBox could save time and prevent negative emotions of quite a lot of users.

For example, when I was trying to play the Ultima Underworld 1/2, I had to mount the ISO image from the distributions, copy al the files within to a games locations I use, make sure the directory is writable and run the original games setup/game binaries from there, using the provided DOSBox configuration.

The other solution: create a sticky topic "Playing in DOSBox under Linux" in every game's subforum and let users post their how-to there directly. Just like it is done at WineHQ site.

Thanks!
