it's interesting to be playing wing commander 3 after not having played it for a long time. it is still a good game. though i can't use my Logitech attack 3 joystick to fly in it so im using the keyboard which makes things tricky. the mission with the skipper missile i lost the transport i was escorting. i don't know how i will go at the end stage of wing commander 3.

Does the joystick not have a DirectInput mode? I have a logitech F710 gamepad which has a switch to go between DirectInput (older games) and XInput (Newer games). I should test out wing commander 3.

Edit: You could always map the keys to the joystick either in dosbox or the profiler program.

I have the same joystick and had this problem yesterday. Hit Alt + O in-flight and select "joystick" under the control section in that screen.

In general, you're better off asking game-specific questions in the appropriate game specific forum.
