Hello everyone,

I'm looking into buying an Ultrabook and am hoping some of you would be willing to share your thoughts to help me decide.

I'm currently looking at (in no particular order):

Samsung Series 9

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

ASUS ZenBook Prime UX31A

Apart from the price, the above three appear to have received very favorable reviews.

The X1 Carbon is the lightest, the Samsung's components can be upgraded e.g. RAM and SSD, which is a good thing because for some reason it ships with a Sandisk and not a Samsung SSD. I don't understand why Samsung did this as they produce some great SSDs themselves.
The Asus Zenbook Prime has an excellent screen and looks very well built but it looks like it's components can't be upgraded.

What I'm primarily looking for out of an Ultrabook is light weight, thin, portable, with current gen/good quality hardware i.e. Ivybridge CPUs, good motherboard, RAM, SSD etc.
The above 3 Ultrabooks seem to meet these specifications.
With regards to battery life, well this seems to be one the big weak points of portable technology, so I'm not expecting any Ultrabook to offer amazing battery life, although it would be great. I think my general day to day use won't put that much strain on the battery.

Also, I'm not sure if the Ivybrige CPUs in these ultrabooks are quadcore or not.

If you were looking for an Ultrabook with similar specifications to what I have mentioned, what would you go for? (It doesn't have to be limited to the 3 examples I've given).
Or would you wait until Windows 8 is released (not sure when that is) and get an Ultrabook then?
