oasis789: There's an update that is backers only, what's it say?
An announcement of an announcement. "Thank you for your support, stay tuned for more info."

spindown: Sadly, there's no way this project will make it.$530,000 is still way too much. Even high-profile Kickstarters projects like Jane Jensen's Moebius, Republique and SpaceVenture have been struggling to reach $500,000. A project by a group of unknown people trying to remake a game from 1986 that hardly anyone remembers simply has no chance of raising that kind of money.
Those are my exact thoughts. I know nothing about them or their previous game, and the presentation is only mildly interesting. I don't know how they want to reach $500k with what they have got right now...

Sabin_Stargem: Kickstarter projects should try to aim low, and have stretch goals in case they turn out to be popular. When something like Grim Dawn can pull in only $500,000, you really should reconsider the funding goal for your niche project.
Sadly, 500k is really pocket money in game development. Especially in Kickstarter -- after you give 5% to Amazon, 5% to Kickstarter and pay for manufacturing and shipping the rewards, you'll have maybe enough money to pay a handful of people for a few months to do a rather small game.
