Licurg: Yeah, but he said he can't get Paypal to work with the card, didn't he?

SirPrimalform: That's why I said should work, not will work. ;)
Does Paypal even accept those kinds of cards?

Try getting a prepaid card from the bank, it worked for me. I don't remember what brand it was, so be sure to ask first.

JMich: Some of US pre-paid cards are only usable for purchases in the US. Since GOG.com's bank processer is in Cyprus, some banks will deny the charges by default. You can either try contacting your bank, or see if you can arrange a trade with another gogger, by gifting him items of equivalent value from another service.
Maybe a couple of americans could suggest pre-paid cards that work with gog, and I hope you'll be able to enjoy these games soon.
Just a bit of clarification: GOG's payment processor is based out of the UK, not Cyprus. GOG is incorporated in Cyprus for legal/tax reasons, but none of their payments actually pass through there. However, that Cyprus connection often causes problems with credit cards since the credit companies have declared that Cyprus is a center of credit card fraud, regardless of whether or not there are really legitimate businesses there.

Target giftcards work. have used those for just about everything including re-ocurring services.

VANILLA cards... AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I've been declined at gas stations, game sites, Amazon.com, etc... Fast food restaurants are the only reliable thing so far. which really stinks because I specifically put a chunk of change on one to buy some MMO expansions and it won't work... even one time purchases :(

(sorry for the necro... really wanted to warn people about the Vanilla card... its not really like cash at all. Its more like amusement park money that is only good in a few places).
I wish I'd read this post before I bought a $100 vanilla visa so that I could buy the Square Enix bundle that was on sale :(
