You might want to keep it that way, as it keeps going downhill from there. That's one thing I love about Sands of Time: it can stand all by itself without needing a continuation. As a pseudo remake of the original PoP it did a fine job in breathing life into the world and characters which was next to non-existent before.

That doesn't mean the sequels are horrible. Simply that they could have been better.
