I'm having a problem where a bunch of lines are running across the screen making games unplayable at High resolutions(anything higher than 1360x768). Here is an example:

Planescape: Torment

This is also happening with Total Annihilation(the screen caps are showing up almost all black, so I don't have an example for it).

I know of one other person(from the Total Annihilation forum) that has this problem that also has a 400 series card.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there are any known fixes. Thanks for any help.

Are you having this problem with any other games, any modern games either?
Nope, only older games.

I solved the problem with the lines(atleast in PS:T). I downloaded the Direct SDK and disabled Hardware Acceleration in the DirectDraw menu.

but, now I have cursor trails in menus and tons of flickering when panning around.

No cursor trails in-game so far and when I'm not panning the screen around it looks fantastic. Might just have to deal with it unless someone figures something out.

Do you have mouse pointer trails turned on for your desktop? If so you could try turning those off.
Thanks, I'll give that a try.
