Hey folks, so I noticed Sacred 2 Gold is on sale really cheap on GMG, but it says it requires the Capsule client to download... does this mean the Capsule client works as DRM? Or would be just be needed to download?

I am unfamiliar with the Capsule client and wouldn't mind using it to download a game, but I really want the DRM free version.

Capsule client needs to be downloaded. It's a DRM client that allows you trade back in *some* games for credit. If you buy Sacred there, you have to download it using Capsule (GMG's internal software) and then play it through there.

Thanks. I wasn't sure, as I've seen some say "requires Capsule to download and play" or something of that nature and found the different wording odd. A shame, it's a great price.

Of the few games I have gotten from GMG a couple said it needed the Capsule to download (but did not say it was needed for play) ... When I bought them the Capsule opened up. Others that did not say that just downloaded from the browser. Neither of them open Capsule when I run them to play. There have been a few lately that I have passed by and not gotten because they said they required Capsule to Play so I did not get them.

But that's my experience ... the way they word things there and what they mean ... well, just read their forums ... doesn't inspire much confidence.

I know you need to use capsule to download it, but is it confirmed you have to use capsule to launch and play the game?.
