(Disclaimer: Warning random thought is random, if you don't like it then forget about it.)

I don't know how or were this thought came from but it hit like a super chief and has been super glued in my brain for the past 2 weeks. What if Good Old Games maybe somehow took over ownership of Gametap. There are alot of what ifs. But sadly, I have no idea where I'm going with this.

1. How or why would this come to be?
2. What would come of such a venture?
3. What would be the pros?
4. What would be the cons?
5. Would this be a good thing or a bad thing?

Again I have no idea but, maybe you do? If so then please feel free to drop in and leave an opinion. (Full sentences please.....nothing like "this idea sucks!")

(I am only going to bump this once! So don't even start!)

Really.....there is not one among you with even a little opinion? Fine, then I will give my two cents.

---I have no idea how this would come to be possible (maybe as a business venture on GOG's part). What would come of it is maybe appealing to certain people that may not realy wanna buy a "cloud" game (in a sense) but rather have the ability to "rent" access to a large library of rich gaming goodness for a low monthly rate ($10-$15) (hard to specify whom this would appeal to but oh well...).

---Oh my god (double rainbow!) where to start with the pros. Think the low monthly price is a good deal. Access to a large rich classic gaming library that wouldn't just stuck in the PC category (sorry GOG...). Genesis, NeoGeo, Arcade in general to name a few. But most importantly would be the possibility of the GameTap Player being used again. Maybe GOG could use the player as their downloader (No Idea). both people who "own" a game and those who would be "renting access" as well could use it.

---Can't realy see any cons right now though.

---I think this would be a pretty sweet gig. But hey ,what do I know?

P.S. below are some pictures of what the Gametap Player looked like.
