I think there's a version of Final Fantasy I for Android somewhere...
Pixel Dungeon. A nice graphical roguelike made for Android that's completely free. I've played it a lot.
If you like old-style rpgs, I made a thread about it a while back...

The ones in the recent Mobile HB are all good.

They also had Catan at one point, which is also good.

FTL is unfortunately not on Android yet. It was released on iPad last week though.

Avadon: The Black Fortress and Avernum - Escape from the Pit are worth taking a look at if you're interested in turn-based RPGs. Both are ports of the PC version, with the same content, and work pretty well with a touchscreen. Certain objects on the screen might be a bit small, but it shouldn't be a problem unless you have xbox hueg sausage fingers.

I just picked up a tablet myself. I'd recommend Eufloria, Osmos, Waking Mars, Aquaria, Planet Stronghold, and Triple Town.

I'd also be really curious to know what games folks love, especially what the best emulators are... there are so many for each console on the Google Play store.

Heard great things about retroarch, also just got a tablet also.
Damn, I just tried Avadon on mine (and 8.3 inch) but the version of Avadon I got from a Humble Bundle is apparently just the HD version, which shows up really tiny on my screen for some reason.

Do you want similar games as you'd play on PC, or something different?

I find I prefer on tablets more casual and less taxing games, while on PC more deeper games that need more concentration and time. Partly because I am more likely to take a tablet or phone out when I am not at home, but somewhere else and just have some time to kill.

Hence, I am probably not going to play Avadon (a RPG) on Android. But who knows...

Myself, I'm very much interested in Monument Valley.

Oh wait, the Android version is not there yet.
