crazy_dave: EDIT: I see that it is and that you already posted in that thread. :) Have you tried contacting GOG support directly and/or the maker of your AV program?
No, I just gave up :/

While F-Secure does have pretty ok customer support (dealt with them a few times), its usually just more convenient to give up...

And about GOG support, can't really see how they could help?

Well it seems from the thread that early on, GOG support had contacted an anti-virus program's support to get the definitions changed so that the game was ignored/not flagged. I don't know if they would still do that, but depending on how much you want to play it, it couldn't hurt to ask by sending a support ticket.
Recettear - a great JRPG Item Shop Simulator!

KneeTheCap: *snip*
Ship Siumlator Extremes is 75% off as today's daily deal on Steam. No clue about the game, ne'er played it.

But, my good knee, do you like football? Have you played the Football Manager games? If not, do so. If so, do so some more.
Oh dear, I forgot about Football manager being a sim, more a way of life/religion for me. I AM NOT BUYING ANY MORE NEW VERSIONS. You need an online account to play 2012? DRM gone mad! 2011 is my last one, honest guv.

I will win the champions league with Stockport County!

For space combat sims, the Freespace games are pretty deep. Lots of controls to learn, lots of ways to approach most missions (Freespace 1 was better about this; in FS2, your character was shuffled between various squadrons as the game went on, each of which had a specific role they filled), and lots of toys to blow shit up with.

Wing Commander: Privateer would also be a good choice if you want a combination of a space combat sim and a "life on the fringes of space" sim. You can do missions of virtually any kind, in a wide-open setting. There IS a storyline you can follow, but it's not mandatory. (Be aware however that this is currently one of the games suffering Missing Expansion Syndryome™, although it's not that hard to add it in if you have the files.)

EDIT: Saw someone recommended Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. I'll second that as well. You play the NPC item salesperson in a JRPG, wheeling and dealing to make money to pay off the mortgage your deadbeat dad left on you. I'd say pick up the demo on Steam, and if you decide you want it, I can give you a 50% off coupon I got during the Winter Giveaway.)

I'm looking for all kinds of simulators. All goes, whether its business, sailing or life simulator, it doesn't matter. I'm just trying to expand my view of these games :)
I can't believe i totally forgot about this, the original reason why i came to this place; Pro Pinball series. They're regarded as the best pinball simulator in the market. Check out Pro Pinball. The most complete pinball simulator in my opinion.
