I finally came back to download this game, but why does it say only the single player version? And I am surpriesed there is any single player I thought it was all Multiplayer?

You should have 2 entries in your library - one called Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - Single Player and one called Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer.

I was also surprised TBH - added it as I did with l4d2 at xmas knowing at some point ill be at my mates with my laptop and the idea of multiplayer will pop up and in such a case, why not indeed...

but yeah - very surprised at that - and glad - the stalingrad pivot of ww2 is always an interesting one for me.
Yay, free crap!

Is it any good?

who cares, it's free crap!

make that 37%
How to get Red Orchestra 2 Single Player is if you already own Rising Storm:

German users can add ?cc=GB to the end of the URL from their browser to add the uncensored version (if you don't, you end up being lumbered with the censored version).
If anyone is curious about the first game Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 - i have 2 guest passes that give you access to the full version of the first game for 10 days. If you want one just add me on Steam and ask:

Funny thing happened while trying to add Red Orchestra 2 in my sister's steam account which I was kinda expecting because we are using family sharing and I had already added the game to my account. Steam client gave an Oops..error essentially saying something went really wrong because you are trying to add a game that appears to be already there. So had to turn family sharing of to add the game.

The first game is better than the 2nd one, I think but the community for the first game is very small now, unfortunately.

tinyE: I know it's a shooter, what I meant by squad was in the vibe of Republic Commando or the Deadly Dozen games as opposed to the early CoD where you might have squad mates but ultimately you only controlled yourself.

monkeydelarge: You only control yourself. RO2 is a online 3D shooter. It's possible to play the game single player but the game was not made to be single player.
I never knew it had a SP componen?t. The multiplayer was kinda hardcore *sticks head up *BAM** dead. Well not always but really not for me...

There are some servers that make it easier for new players by making it so guns do less damage if you decide to give the game another chance. And SP is a lot harder than MP from my experience because the bots in SP have sniper like accuracy...
